Makeup & Muses: Witchy Business

Since Halloween is tomorrow I've decided to share some great makeup tips for this particular holiday. Some of you might be going to a Halloween party tonight and celebrating in all the festivities. So here are some Youtube videos that will teach you how to recreate a great makeup look for Halloween.

I got this idea from this site, but all videos can be found on Youtube of course.

Also, about a week ago my hubby and I went to Mellow Mushroom to celebrate my friends' birthday. She's 26! I recently found out that Mellow is not as widely known as I believed it to be. Do you have one in your state? If you don't, then you are missing out.

I'm sorry if my camera phone photos are not doing this place justice.

I don't know if I'll be dressing up for All Hallows Eve, but if I do I will probably go as Neytiri from Avatar.

What will you be this Halloween?

Happy Halloween!
Be safe and check your candy!

Costume Envy

I haven't given my costume for Halloween much thought--and I don't even know what I'm going to do when the day comes over the weekend. But I have a beautiful Pomeranian, and I would love to see him in a costume.

I'm not one to dress up my poor dog on the regular, but once a year won't hurt him. What do you think of these pets in their Halloween outfits?

Too adorable!

Inspiring Style: The Bead Show

My in-laws and I went to a local bead show not too long ago. The show comes around about three times a year and features hundreds of vendors who showcase their great beads and jewelry. They will even email you instructions on how to make certain pieces. Here is a taste of some of the great accessories.

Most of these are locket pendants and rings. How cool?
This is what I wore to the bead show!

Interesting 3-d inspired bead necklace and leaf earrings

I absolutely adored these bracelets. They were called Caterpillar bracelets because of how they were uniquely linked together.

My mother-in-law bought me this bib necklace as an early holiday gift. How sweet!
Do you like it?

Do you have any bead shows/jewelry shows in your town?
What do you think of these?

Isquisofrenia from California

The name of her blog is Isquisofrenia simply because it sounds like schizophrenia. Everything about her look is unique--from the boots on her feet to the hats that cover her jet black hair--all with a bit of classic rockstar glam.

OOTD: Love-Lace

I first wore this dress in my Vacay post, but the photo was taken in a parking garage after a night dancing.

Here are some proper photos that were taken from my balcony over the weekend.

Lace dress -- Forever 21
Booties - Forever 21

Jewelry - Assorted

What do you think?

And I also recently won a $20 gift card to Victoria's Secret from Christina at The Cosmopolitan Clevelander. Look how cute!

I'll probably spend the money on some tunics or sweater dresses.

The Naked Truth

There's been so much buzz about Kim K. and her editorial for W Magazine. Now, I don't have anything against Kim, but it does seem like a bunch of people are hating on her for showing so much skin.

If any of these people watched that video she made years ago then they'd realize just how covered up she really is in the editorial. According to the magazine, Kim "can't sing, act or dance..." but she's basically her own publicist. And hey, I can't knock her for feeling comfortable enough in her body to pose naked, with the help of shiny paint.

I have this magazine and the photos in print are more risque than the ones online, but models pose naked in mags all the time. Let's not forget those photos of Miranda Kerr in Vogue Italia--in 3d.

Other images from W:

Michelle Williams & Ryan Gosling

What do you think of these images, including the ones of Kim Kardashian?

Also, there's also been some buzz on these new J. Crew lace tights. From far away, the lace tights resemble hair so it gives your legs an overall hairy look. But the tights are obviously made of lace--and are presumably all sold out now.

What do you think of these hairy tights?
