Inspiring Style: Emma & Hermoine

How awesome is Emma Watson? We've been aware of her presence for a decade now through the Harry Potter series, but she has really blossomed just recently. After the dramatic chop turned super cute pixie haircut, her image has been all over magazines and websites.

And how can you deny it.
Check out these images from her December cover on Marie Claire.

I recently saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1 with a couple of friends. The movie was just as long as I thought it would be (falling short of 3 hours).

Voldermort had a great scene in the beginning, but the movie was pretty much focused on the relationship among Harry, Ron and Hermoine.

Man, how these kids have grown! All must keep Harry safe so the V-man can't get to him, all whilst the Ministry is on a manhunt for muggles.

I very much enjoyed Part 1 and totally loved that this movie was so much darker. This review is short because I don't want to give anything away--I know how people get about the Potter movies! But I do give it 4 hearts! Can't wait for Part 2 next year (I only wish it weren't in 3d)!

Oh and how about that great ending? Tear-jerker no?

OOTD: Tukey Day-Wear

Happy Turkey Day everyone! I hope you all stuff your faces with delicious food without worrying about the consequences. I am spending it with the fam in a few hours. Have you noticed that people always eat dinner earlier on Thanksgiving?

Since I don't have any shirts with Turkeys on them (and that might be a shame), I've decided to come up with two fairly similar outfits that I could wear later today--depending on how dressy i should look.

In this first set of photos I am wearing more accessories, these lace-up heels, and my hair down. What do you think of this look?

For the second look with the same outfit I am wearing my hair differently, less jewelry, added tights and switched the heels for flats. What do you think of this second look?

Headband -- Claires
Jewelry -- Assorted, gifted

Belt -- Forever 21

Top -- Forever 21

Skirt -- Forever 21

Tights -- Primark

Heels -- Charlotte Russe

Flats -- Charlotte Russe

One of these two looks will be my Turkey Day ensemble. Happy Thanksgiving muses!

Inspiring Style: Lanvin for H&M

As some of you might know, Nov. 20 was the introduction of the long-awaited Lanvin for H&M collection. And as some of you might remember, for a very long time there has not been an H&M in my town. I actually had to go to London to step inside my first H&M.

Recently, the Swedish minds behind H&M decided to open a brand-spanking, two-level store about an hour from where I live. Yay! So my friend and I decided to make the long trek, especially with the new Lanvin collection. She is, by the way, a huge fan of all things Lanvin.
What I wore

(F21 shoes and harem pants, Charlotte Russe lace top, H&M blazer...of course)

My friend Jessica -- What She Wore

We knew the mall opened at 10 AM so we timed our drive just right to get there right on schedule. Much to our dismay, we realized as we got closer to H&M that although the mall opened at 10, H&M had opened at 8 specifically for Lanvin. Apparently, hordes of girls had arrived, waited in a line, and received bracelets with 20-minute time limits to shop. Basically: you can buy whatever you can carry in a 20-minute interval.

This is what the walls looked like by the time we got there.

And we thought we were early!

Anyway, here is what I bought:

This heart print H&M top
This H&M black ruffle dress
This Lanvin coat
And what Jessica bought:

Lanvin clutch, enamel earrings, tote, blazer, top and shoulder dress
But even when I go shopping I am still thinking of you lovely muses! So I decided that I will add this great Lanvin tote to my Holiday Giveaway!

Be sure to enter if you haven't already!

Did you make it to Lanvin?
