Editorials: Daenerys & Snow White

Today is my sister's birthday! Happy birthday Jennifer :)
Emilia Clarke ~ LA Times Magazine
May 2012

I love this girl. You probably don't know her unless you watch Game of Thrones (kudos to you if you do). Emilia plays Daenerys (aka: Daenerys Stormborn, Daenerys Targaryen, Khaleesi) on the hit HBO show. She was born in London and she's actually younger than me, gasp! And as you can tell by this editorial, she's not a natural blonde. It's cool to see her like this--without her dragons--and with her natural hair color. Blood of my blood, winter is coming.
What do you think of Emilia Clarke's editorial?

Kristen Stewart ~ W Magazine
I must admit, these photos hardly even look like K-Stew. I mean, I definitely see her in these images, they just don't look like the Bella Swan that has agonized me for the past four years. I do hope that one day me (and other people in the world) will be able to see her as more than just that awkward teen vampire girl (because she was great in The Runaways and pretty decent as Snow White). This editorial, albeit old, is starting to help me see the light. Although, I'm not sure why her hand is in her crotch.
What do you think of Kristen Stewart's editorial?

Seems like I'm very much into 'big hair, don't care' editorial looks.

  2. A very happie birthday to your sis :D
Coming to the editorials, even I have a hard time trying to think of Kristen apart from the Bella Swan image. I loved her in the MTV movie awards. Those editorials are really amazing, she does look very different, in a good way.
Emilia Clarke looks Wow...simply wow :D

  4. I seriously need to put Game of Thrones on my netflix queue. It looks like a show I would be easily obsessed with. I'm a huge history nerd, as you probably already have guessed. LOL!

These editorials are STUNNING. I remember that W magazine photo shoot from last year, featuring K-Stew very well. I remember not even recognizing her on the cover. It was beyond gorgeous. I think it will forever remain one of my favorite editorials!

  6. I've seen the Emilia editorial before... don't like it. There is no personality in it. I do like the Kristen editorial.
I actually do like Kristen Stewart as an actor, despite never having seen the 'Twilight' movies... or because of maybe??! and I am looking forward to seeing her in 'Snow White...'.
I've read a lot of negative reviews but I think the movie is perfectly cast... Kristen's sweet prettiness being the "fairest of them all" against Charlize's goddess beauty... it's not about the physical, it's about the inner beauty. Snow White is "the one" right?

Anyway, Kristen is a screen veteran, she was a child actor, pretty damn good in 'Panic Room' but I think I like her because she is so damn private.

  8. I just started reading the GOT book but have not seen the series. Now, seeing Emilia Clarke, I might have to bite the bullet and buy the season 1 DVD! And KStew does look good in this editorial:) As much as I love Twilight, she's always looked so awkward to me in interviews, so it's nice to see her look this confident in photos.

  9. Whoah, that editorial with Kristen Stewart is incredibly stunning. Love those shots! I'd wear everything in Emilia's editorial. :) Happy weekend Cheryl!x

  10. You're totally right about the 2nd editorial not looking like KS! I hope she can find other roles too. She can me more than just an awkward teen vampire. She was in Panic Rm with Jodie Foster too!

  12. What?! I didn't even recognize KStew. I literally had to scroll up to make sure the first pic from her wasn't actually the girl above and a formatting issue you made lol.

  27. Am obsessed with Game of Thrones, haha! Love that show. She looks marvelous, you wouldn't know if it was her unless you watched the show for sure!! Kristen looks fab as well, better than her smacked face look from the Vampire movies. I hope she continues to get away from that role and show different ranges. That movie made me forget she was even the little girl in The Panic Room, which I thought she was fab in. Bless her :) And to your question, yes...I watch Once Upon a Time here, they show the episodes after America plays them, but I am all caught up. The evil witch is really good in it. My oldest loves watching it too :)) Hope you have a fab day xx

  28. I did see Emilia Clarke with her long brown hair just a few days ago and found it jarring for a bit. Like, she wasn't born with silver hair? Ridiculous.

    The pictures are great. Thanks.

  29. Whoa, I couldn't tell that was Kristen Stewart! She looks so different. I've thought about watching Game of Thornes, especially after seeing the amazing costumes at wondercon, but I just didn't have time when it came out. I may just try to find it somewhere and watch it this summer.
