Makeup & Muses: Beauty Tips from the Web

I'm just getting back into the swing of things after my mini vacation to Florida. So for Friday I'm bringing you a makeup and muses post featuring a few beauty tips from the web.

Check out these tips and let me know of any beauty tricks you might have in the comments. I'm always on the lookout for ways to wear makeup without looking like a clown.
~~~
♥ Summer eyeliner looks to try
I'm not very adventurous when it comes to my eyeliners and eye makeup in general.
Usually I stick to black and on occasion I will transition to either brown, white or blue, but that doesn't happen often.
If you're anything like me when it comes to eyeliner then this post is for you. You won't honestly know if the look is for you unless you try it on yourself at least once.
If it doesn't work, then I'm apologizing in advance.
 ♥ Household products to use for beauty
These products range from baking soda and cinnamon to toothpaste and dryer sheets. That's right...dryer sheets.
It's amazing how many homemade beauty goods you already have lying around your home without even knowing it.
Just be sure you're using the products properly so that no one has to call the CDC and keep you quarantined.
 ♥ Makeup tricks that look good in pictures
Finally! I will now know everything there is to know about having a great lookbook post. Well, not everything. But I can at least use some of these tips so I don't fug up your computer screen anymore.
For example, did you know blush and black liner and mascara are good for the camera? These things make your cheeks and eyes stand out, which makes your photo pop.
And always put on your makeup in natural light. This way, people will no longer laugh at your oddly colored face. It is the only way to really know what you look like when you're out and about.
♥ Caviar nail art DIY
Whether or not you eat caviar, you will love this nail trend.
Adding it to your lips is not required.
I just love that it's a textured manicure because I think I'd be the type of person to constantly run my fingers over each other just to feel the texture.
But you know me, I love a good nail DIY, but I'm way too lazy (aka: don't have the patience) to try them all.
Let me know when someone makes the nail strips version of these caviar delights.
  3. This is great! I'm going to try the olive oil and cinnamon beauty trick for sure.
    My sisters and I have done the caviar nails but went to Wal-mart and bought the microbeads for $5 instead of the $25 Caviar nail kit at Sephora.
  12. I totally agree with putting makeup on with natural light. I freelance as a makeup artist (well, more so before than now), and that's what I always tell my clients:)
  14. I seriously have to switch up my makeup routine! Colored eyeliner might be the way to go.. And in terms of beauty tips, I recently watched a fab how-to video on Refinery 29 about curling hair with a straightener, and it literally changed my life!
    Hope you have a lovely weekend! :)
