Inspiring Style: Spring Looks for the Guys

I've gotten a couple requests to "do more guy stuff" on the Muse, so I thought I'd make the hubs my male model for the day to feature some spring looks for guys. The hubs was tired of me getting complimented for my style whenever we went out, so he went and got bit by the shopping bug and purchased a bunch of new shirts, pants and shoes.

This is his personal wardrobe styling with a bit of help from me to show you two different spring styling looks that guys can rock.| Ross shirt | Target colored twill pants | Tretorn Skymra canvas shoes |

For casual wear, a cotton shirt is easy and no fuss for a guy. Pair it with some colored pants (guys can be trendy too) that complement your look. These shoes were something new for the hubs as they're not his usual style, but they work for day wear since they are comfy canvas slip ons.| Urban Outfitters Moto Jacket | Express shirt | Levi slim straight mirage wash jeans | Steve Madden shoes |

For a slightly dressier look, opt for layering--even for guys. The added moto jacket with the rib knit trim gives this look something extra. Pair it with an a-typical button down like this one in a light purple color. The mirage wash jeans keep the look from being too formal, yet the dark colored shoes still make the outfit classic.

Would either of these looks work for your guy?

♥ Day 29 ~ A Song From Your Childhood: Doo Wop (That Thing) by Lauryn Hill ~ I decided to go back to 1999 with this one so you can see what I was listening to when I was leaving middle school. There were a ton of great songs in that last year of the '90s, and this one by Lauryn Hill was a big hit. Now you know what I mean when I say I miss '90s music. I know you're happy to hear it. You're welcome.

♥ Day 30 ~ Your Favorite Song at This Time Last Year: Rumor Has It by Adele ~ I'm not entirely sure when I was super into this song, but I know I was super into it last year, especially the Glee mashup version. But who doesn't love Adele, am I right?

  4. I do love the idea of pairing the moto jacket with the rib knit trim. It's a quick way to "chic" up a guy's outfit for sure:) Great tips, Cheryl.
Unfortunately, my hubby will never EVER dress up. I mean, he was wearing Doc Martens even on our wedding:P

  5. My husband would NEVER let me use him on the blog. But then again, he doesn't have great style like yours! I am perpetually way overdressed compared to his t-shirts and jeans (he can ever wear them to work). Great man you got there! Happy Friday!
