Lookbook: The Empire Strikes Back

I'm at the stage in my life where everyone I know is getting married or having babies. My newsfeed is full of it. Just the other day I was at a baby shower and this past weekend I went to a wedding in Walnut Creek. And there will be more on the horizon. Since the wedding started at 3:30, I knew this empire maxi would be a good choice. Plus, I'm down for any opportunity I get to use a Star Wars reference on the Muse. Bonus points if you can comment with which Star Wars episode this title is from (I through VII?) without using the help of your Google search engine.

So I had to wear this Down in Ibiza ("it's pronounced Ibitha"--sorry, Dark Knight Rises reference) necklace again because I didn't get enough of it last week. And I don't think you did either. For the wedding reception, I switched to my Prabal Gurung for Target sandals as those are clearly more comfortable and better for dancing.

By the way, this maxi is everything. I saw the white version floating around Pinterest some 8 weeks ago but couldn't find the name of it or the site selling it. Until last week when I saw it again on Instagram. Got my hands on this melon number and never looked back. Takeaway: shop social media when looking for maxis.

On the Muse: Pretty Edgy empire maxi | TJ Maxx ribbed moto jacket | Cob & Pen troubled times belt c/o ShopLately | Forever 21 t-strap velvet sandals | Layered Muse envelope clutch | Cob & Pen down in Ibiza necklace c/o ShopLately |
What do you think of this look? Attending any weddings or baby showers soon?
