Inspiring Style: Finding Your Fit ~ True Religion Jeans

My wardrobe consists of a lot of jeans. They are my go-to piece no matter the season. Yes, I wear shorts, skirts and dresses as well, but there's nothing like a pair of great fitting jeans. And as we head into fall in the coming weeks, I thought I'd share with you a few of my favorite jeans and a little style guide to go along with it too.

Recently, you might have read an article online that said the skinny jean trend was going out of style. Well, I think that's completely untrue. Sure, there are other great styles that you should consider adding to your wardrobe, but skinny jeans are here to stay, especially when you find the right pair. Here are some shopping tips and a look at my favorite jean styles from True Religion.
Skinny Jeans - Look for low rise super skinny jeans or a mid rise pair of denim for a comfortable fit. This is especially true with skinnier styles since they sit a lot tighter than other styles. Mid rise skinny jeans for women sit nicely on the hips. If you're looking for jeans that make your footwear stand out, then go with a super skinny fit for the best ankle crop. This style works perfectly with ankle strap heels, ballet flats or sandals without weird stacking.

Slim Boyfriend - So we already know that boyfriend jeans are pretty fab, but the best style from this cut is actually the slim boyfriend. You get all the benefits of the carefree, effortless look without the extra baggage. No need to worry about your denim jeans being too loose in the derriere as slim boyfriend jeans are more fitted in all the right areas, while still maintaining a sexy tomboy style.

The Boot Cut - I like bootcut jeans more than flares because they tend to have more of a subtle leg opening. If you're looking to elongate your legs, or you just want to switch up your usual skinny jean style, then opt for a boot cut pair that pays homage to the styles of the 1970s with more of a modern, updated silhouette.

So the next time you're looking for a great pair of designer jeans, men's jeans, or women's jeans in general, be sure to read through my fun, little guide and pick the style that's right for you. I'm definitely adding some boot cut and slim boyfriend fits to my closet full of skinny jeans this fall. What about you?

  1. I only have one pair of jeans to my name, haha. It takes me ages to find a pair that I will wear. Since I do wear dresses and skirts most. But, having a pair that fit perfect is very important as it can be so annoying going out and having a bad pair on. I like skinny jeans or flare ones as they tend to fit the best. xx

  6. Whoever wrote that article clearly hasn't been to any shops lately. Skinny jeans are everywhere and are sought after more during the colder months as they are great for wearing with boots! The white distressed skinny is really cute!
