Inspiring Style: Literary Cocktails for Summer

It's Friday (hey!), so why not have a post all about drinks! Although summer doesn't officially start for another month, it's warm enough outside now to start thinking about cocktail season. I recently came across this fun book called Tequila Mockingbird: Cocktails with a Literary Twist, which is a list of fun drink recipes with names that combine cocktails with book titles.

Here is a list of a few of my favorite cocktails based on their fun book titles:

Just like the books on Shopbop (like Fashionable Cocktails), Tequila Mockingbird would be a good addition to your coffee table tray. So get summer and cocktail ready with these fun options the next time you're entertaining -- which also makes these perfect for a book club gathering. There's no better way to put two great things together (cocktails & books) than with these selections.

And check out my Instagram post today featuring my own literary concoction: Moscow Mules and Men (a play on Zora Neale Hurston's Mules and Men)! Or maybe I'll call it The Cider House Mules!

Other good literary cocktails include:

  • Bridget Jones's Daiquiri
  • The Pitcher of Dorian Grey Goose
  • The Count of Monte Cristal
  • The Joy Luck Club Soda
  • The Last of the Mojitos (a personal favorite)
