Summer is around the corner and I have my mind set on wearing cute sandals all day, every day. I simply can't get enough of sandals this season. Open toe, ankle strap, lace-up, gladiator, espadrilles...anything and everything!
Find some of my favorite styles under $50, under $100 and under $300! If I could, I would pretty much all of these, but I'm completely running out of closet space like a fool. Which of these is your favorite? I think I'm going with #6!

What's In My Bag -- 2015
I've done two of these posts before. The first was back in 2010 and I didn't really have anything fun in my bag other than a ton of gift cards and a cellphone that is truly dated. Then I did this post again in 2012, which consisted of a lot of lip gloss and hand lotion. You'll notice that my bag in 2015 is very similar, just a bit more put together.
This is typically what's in my bag on any given day. But sometimes I also carry a notepad, pen, eyebrow pencil, hand sanitizer and car keys.
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion | I have dry skin so I always need to have a hand lotion nearby. Aveeno is also really good for my eczema so it's my on-the-go lotion of choice.
Baby Lips & ChapStick | Again -- dry skin -- so I must carry chapstick with me everywhere. The Baby Lips lip balm in grapevine is a deep purple color that I love.
Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur Body Mist | Every now and then I pack some body mist, usually something in a smaller container, but I'm diggin' this fruity fragrance right now.
Ray-Ban Folding Wayfarers | My ever trusty, go-to sunglasses that I wear 9 times out of 10 even though I have so many other options.
Business Card Holder | Here's the funny thing about business cards...I never remember to give them out to anyone, and people usually tend to ask for one on the rare occasions when I don't have them with me.
Butterfly Bag Hook | This comes in handy at restaurants or theaters when I have no place to put my bag and I refuse to set it on the floor. Definitely get one of these to make life easier.
Forever 21 Compact | Because you can't take selfies without first checking yourself in the mirror.
Samsung Galaxy S5 | My phone, duh. I know the S6 is out, but I'm still loving my S5 so much. And, to the point above, you can't take selfies without a smartphone.
Yes To Cucumbers Facial Towelettes | These all-natural hypoallergenic face wipes are perfect for quick makeup removal, or just to add some hydration back into your skin after the gym or a flight.
Michael Kors Wallet | When I'm just strolling downtown, I tend to only take this wallet as it can hold all the true essentials and my phone.
Kate Spade Charlotte Street Sloan Bag | Currently, I switch between this Kate Spade bag in black and my Zara bucket bag in blue. Soon I'll most likely don a backpack.

Memorial Stripes
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you're still enjoying the long weekend. It was fairly quiet here, not counting people-watching downtown during the Fanimecon (Fan Anime-Con), participating in a Real Escape game, and eating a lot of brunch. And, of course, there was time spent simply doing nothing.
Here is another Hello Molly piece -- yet again! I just love the shape of these shorts. I paired them with my favorite crop top because I wanted an all striped look. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm a big fan of stripes! And these wrap up sandals are the perfect addition to complete the outfit. Not only are they adorably cute and perfect for summer, but they are way comfortable. I love having these easy sandals as a go to!
And if you're a fan of my turquoise pendant necklace, then be sure to sign up for Rocksbox if you haven't done so already. You can get your first month for free with code cherylbff59!
On the Muse: | Target striped crop top | Hello Molly Class Dismissed shorts | Lulus Desert Highness wrap sandals | Foster Grant Belmont sunglasses | Urban Outfitters braided chain head wrap | Rocksbox House of Harlow 1960 Ascension Pendant necklace (first box free with code cherylbff59) |

In the Place With Style & Grace
What? An outfit post on a Friday? I know, I know. Lucky you! I took these photos back in April and had almost forgotten about them. So since I just found these images, I figured I might as well get them up on the Muse, which means a rarity for this blog -- two outfit posts in the same week!
I remember being ridiculously cold this day, and all I wanted to do was go home and put on my comfy pants and drink a hot latte. But alas, I give you month-old photos featuring this beautiful grace dress from Hello Molly. I really went on a tear when I shopped that store back in March so I still have a few more pieces to share with you.
Bringing back this Old Navy denim jacket that I haven't worn since By Your Bootstraps. I like this jacket, but I've never really been a denim jacket kind of girl. I don't know what it is...
And in case you were wondering, yes, the title of this post is a lyric from Big Poppa.

Lookbook: Sweet Anarchy
This outfit is pretty much the epitome of how I think of my style: a little edgy meets feminine. I love that I can wear this Sons of Anarchy top with this beautiful Hello Molly sweet fiction skirt. As you might remember, Sons is my all-time favorite show, so I love being able to memorialize it. And these Soludos espadrille sandals from Shopbop add another girly touch. Honestly, you guys -- espadrilles and flat sandals are my absolute jam right now.
I took these photos in front of a church down the street from our house. I live close to a downtown, but this church building is actually the coolest looking edifice in the area. How awesome of them to paint it pink and white!
Diggin' my Kendra Scott bangle? I got it from Rocksbox! Use code cherylbff59 to get your first month for free of ever-rotating jewelry you can rent or buy!
And I haven't done a movie review in a while, but I just wanted to let you all know that I watched Mad Max: Fury Road over the weekend and it was a thriller. It's definitely a full on action movie, but there's totally a story in there. I would recommend you watch Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome if you want to get an idea of the style of this sort of film, but it's not necessary as the new movie stands alone.
On the Muse: | Hello Molly Sweet Fiction skirt | Sons of Anarchy top | Shopbop Soludos Espadrille Sandals | Rocksbox Kendra Scott Grady bangle | Daniel Wellington watch |

Here is a list of a few of my favorite cocktails based on their fun book titles:

- The Pitcher of Dorian Grey Goose
- The Count of Monte Cristal
- The Joy Luck Club Soda
- The Last of the Mojitos (a personal favorite)

What I'm Loving in May 2015
Room, by Emma Donoghue - Getting back to a healthy reading habit. My goal is fill up my bookshelf with books that I've read in 2015. Last month I read The Girl on the Train. A lot of people were raving about this novel, and although I thought it was a good read, it was certainly no Gone Girl (the original is the best). This month I'm reading Room and it is quite intriguing so far, even though it's told from the perspective of a five-year-old boy.
Bar Earrings - Keep in mind that my ears aren't even pierced and that I'm perfectly content with that. But seeing that I work as a jewelry stylist, I've come across a lot of fun pieces recently, and bar earrings have caught my eye. Ear crawlers and bar pearls are super cute too. What do you think? You can find all of these on Shopbop, by the way.
Milk Bottle Flowers - A quick way to spruce up your decor is by adding some floral accents. And, of course, you can put your flowers in regular glass vases, but consider placing them in milk bottles and other ceramic containers for something a bit more eclectic. Totally loving this right now.
Backpacks - It's not like I have some place special to go, and I'm certainly not in school anymore, but I've been really attracted to backpacks recently. I just think they're so cute and hella functional. Backpacks on Shopbop like this Zac Posen everyday style is perfectly designed with a beautiful top handle. Buy it for me?
Younger TV Show - Younger is a show on TV Land that originated from a book and created by the same person who did Sex and the City. It's about a single mom who re-enters the workforce at age 40 and poses as a 26-year-old. We watch her learn how to tweet, move to Brooklyn because it's hip, and do Crossfit for the first time. Although some aspects aren't super true to the life of a 20-something (we're not always on our phones), it's all quite funny.
Ginger...in everything - I've always been a big fan of things with ginger, but I've recently expanded my love of the spice by falling in love with its many uses and forms. I love it in ginger beer, ginger cookies, ginger tea, ginger ale fizz, ginger scrub, Moscow mules...you name it.

Lookbook: Band-Age
Did everyone enjoy Mother's Day? Hope you all went to some lovely brunches. I was fortunate enough to visit my mom in Florida last week, which was very nice considering I'm now 3,000 miles away again. I spent this past weekend throwing a housewarming party for the new digs. We had a fab turnout and were left with more than enough wine -- which just means a wine party should be in the works.
This week will be spent trying to get back on a regular blogging schedule (so long, vacay), styling schedule and workout schedule. But for now, enjoy Monday's outfit post featuring this fun dress!
This bandage dress from The Kewl Shop has a stretchy fit that easily hugs your body, making it way more comfortable than the typical bandage material. The fun layered, scallop detail at the bottom really adds to the drama. Check out The Kewl Shop for more bandage options -- including bandage swimwear for summer!
And use code MUSE15 for 15% off your purchase at The Kewl Shop -- no expiration date!

Inspiring Style: Costa Rica
A view from our mansion-stay in Dominical, Costa Rica
Hanging by the dark sand beach with monstrous waves
This awesome squirrel monkey is going back into the wild
Treetop hanging bridges in Monteverde, Costa Rica
High up in the mountains, walking through the clouds
Zipline crew, unite!
What it looks like flying by a line and bathing in a waterfall
Beach maxing and relaxing
Juice boxes and sunglasses for the win
We're all like, "what are we saying here?" at the tree house restaurant
Hummingbirds at their finest
Bye bye, Costa Rica!
We learned that sloths practically never move; capuchins will kill you (but squirrel monkeys are awesome); ziplines are more fun superman-style; Cuba Libres come in can form; it takes 30 minutes to drive 3km; cacao and sugar cane don't get enough love; life is better with tres leches cake; and the answer is always pura vida.

Are you into playsuits? If so, I definitely recommend you check out the spring jumpsuits and rompers on Shopbop! And even though I didn't pack any fun open-toe beauties like all the great sandals I've seen on Shopbop too, I did have these Sam Edelman espadrilles to do the trick. Suck it, #LillyforTarget ;)

Makeup and Muses: NeoCell Hair, Skin & Nails
This past few weeks have been very busy for me with a new house, a new job, and various traveling. So, in order to keep my body and mind sane, I've been trying to stay up on some vitamins. I'm actually traveling right now and had to go through various airports and flights from California to Florida to Costa Rica. And as we all know, it's super easy to get sick and feel blah when traveling. No one likes to sit next to a sick person on a plane ride for hours!
These are a few of the NeoCell vitamins I've been using for pick-me-ups lately that are great for hair, skin and nails! And because I hate being sick and I'm getting older and I'm not a spring chicken anymore. #theworst
Biotin Bursts in Acai Berry - Wasn't it a couple years ago when you couldn't go anywhere without hearing acai berry? Well it's still a really good addition to NeoCell biotin soft chews that are low in sugar, and that also help promote healthy hair, skin and nails.
Fish Collagen - As we get older, we lose hydration and skin elasticity, so it's good to build it back up as best we can with Fish Collagen with antioxidants, Vitamins B-6 and B-12. So yes, be sure to drink loads of water, protect your skin from the sun and take a little fish collagen with Hyaluronic Acid for resilient skin.
Keratin Hair Volumizer - You guys probably realize that if you're sick or stressed then that might have an adverse effect on your hair as well. So I like to add Keratin Hair Volumizer to put the nutrients back into my hair to keep it healthy. Sleeping on silk pillowcases helps too!
