SLS: Flare & Flounce

Last week, as you know, I visited some friends in Las Vegas. We walked Fremont Street in old Vegas, which is always a ton of fun because of the cast of characters there. We also saw Cirque du Soleil: LOVE, which is The Beatles show. I must say, the music and visuals were astounding, but overall, it really wasn't as good as the other Cirque shows that I've seen. Not nearly enough stunts.

Fortunately, we were able to spend some time at the Foxtail, which is the beautiful pool at the SLS Las Vegas. I saw that a few blogger babes stayed at this hotel during WWDMAGIC (I was a panelist a couple years ago), and I couldn't get over this stunning location. I hope you were able to catch the goodness on my Snapchat (ohtobeamuse) when I was there.

It was just amazing that I had packed this gorgeous flounce crop top by J.O.A. and these wide leg ASOS pants, as they made the perfect look against the striped cabanas and backdrops at the SLS.

Every girl needs a fun top like this during the warmer months. And if you happen to be short like me (barely 5'3"), then get your hands on a pair of wide leg pants with a 30-inch inseam. You can easily style them with flats or just walk around barefoot if you're poolside.

What do you guys think of this look? Shop the pieces below if you're a fan! And I'll see you guys again in April -- can you believe it's almost April?

Saving Grace

Yesterday, I was supposed to attend my friend's Easter party, and I knew she would have a lot of fun DIY crafts, so I really wanted to dress the part. Her last craft included this lovely floral crown that you might remember. But, unfortunately, after just getting back from my trip to Vegas and Arizona, I was simply too tired (and had a ridiculous amount of work to do) to attend the event in the city. But no fear -- this is what I planned on wearing! Did you guys have a fab Easter, too? What did you wear?

This Gracey dress from Voodoo Vixen was just perfect for the holiday. It's vintage glamour in a comfortable cotton fabric and gorgeous neckline. This Chelsea dress is really great, too. This look is a bit more on the simple side, but you really can't go wrong with gingham on Easter!

All the pieces from the Spring/Summer 2016 collection are full of sophisticated whimsy and under $100. If you like this dress and you're into the Voodoo Vixen style, now you can get 20% off your order with code MUSE.

Santana Row Kendra Scott Jewelry Tour

This is what I wore to the Kendra Scott Jewelry Tour event at Santana Row the other day. They were actually at two different places in San Jose this week promoting the #KSColorBar during the #KSLovesCali tour. Fortunately, I was able to stop by with a few of my local blogger babes before I got on my flight to Vegas.

You guys know that I'm a big fan of Rocksbox, and that's usually where I get all my Kendra Scott pieces. But now that they'll be opening new location nearby (in the summer), I have even more ways to get my jewelry fix! The Kendra Scott peeps set up an airstream loaded with their goodies. They also offered a complimentary and delicious lunch and a gorgeous piece of Kendra Scott jewelry.

Thanks to Kendra Scott and Santana Row for this wonderful event. It was the perfect morning pick-me-up to get me ready for Vegas (that's where I am right now). And this scuba-style pink flare dress from Chicwish totally fit the bill and exuded colorful confidence and Kendra Scott inspired design.

Rocksbox-Spring

You guys, it's spring! Well, I don't know how much it looks like spring in your neighborhood, but it's definitely looking like spring in my mind, in my wardrobe and in my accessories. So here are a few of my favorite Rocksbox jewelry pieces to get you ready for the new season. Use my code cherylbff59 to get your first month and box free! I can also send you a referral email if you'd prefer. Just let me know in the comments! Which of the pieces below are your favorite?
NECKLACES
I've worn pieces from the SLATE, Gorjana and Perry Street brands, but I haven't worn anything from Luv AJ or Soko just yet. But I really want to get my hands on all of these necklaces, including that triple dangle choker!

This House of Harlow necklace is a favorite that I bought. I enjoyed this Trina Turk necklace as well, but decided to send it back for a new piece after borrowing it for a fun post.
BRACELETS
Again, the Soko brand is really killing it right now. I'd love to get my hands on any of these, though. The Perry Street and Kendra Scott cuffs were two of the first pieces I purchased from Rocksbox, and I still love them. And how awesome will that Candice cuff be in swimsuit season?
EARRINGS
Do you see how amazing these earrings are? Well, in case you forgot, my ears aren't pierced so I can't wear any of them. But I still love how unique the Rocksbox earrings are, from dangly drop earrings to shimmer studs. Maybe I can find a way to make those ear climbers and ear jackets work in a clip-on version. Remember to use my code cherylbff59 for your free month!
RINGS
Can I just say that I love that you get three pieces in each box, but I seriously want all of the rings and handchains here -- like stat. If you like a bolder gold look, then I'd suggest anything by Gorjana, but brands like CC Skye and Wanderlust + Co provide a more subtle elegance.

These Sophie Harper rings with a pave design are constantly on rotation. And this Kendra Scott hand bracelet is one of my most recent finds from Rocksbox and I now need it in various colors.

Have you tried Rocksbox yet? If you want to be a member or if you just want to try it for fun for one month, use my code cherylbff59 to get your hands on free jewelry perfect for the season!

Oh, You Fancy, Huh?

Happy first day of spring (was actually yesterday)! I think all the recent rain and the bright new spring styles have really made me more excited about a season change than usual. I love my layers, but I really want to show you all some fab spring-inspired looks, like this one!

Muses, you simply don't know how much I'm in love with this Chicwish oh so fancy organza dress. I wanted it as soon as I laid eyes on it, and it arrived just in time for the official first day of spring. The florals; the neckline; the fit -- this dress is everything! #LivingInIt

Also, I'm headed to Vegas later this week to visit one of my good friends and to take in a Cirque show. Be sure to follow along with my ventures on Snapchat (ohtobeamuse) and Instagram. And speaking of Instagram, please read the very important PSA below!

PSA: Instagram is going to change its algorithm shortly and this will affect your feed. Instead of seeing the posts of the people you follow in chronological order, you'll start seeing posts in an order that Instagram determines. It will basically start to be more reminiscent of your Facebook feed, which essentially means you won't have much control of what shows up and when.

If you want to keep your Instagram feed the same, then please sign this petition to KEEP INSTAGRAM CHRONOLOGICAL. Also, be sure to go to my Instagram profile page, click the three dots on the top right and hit TURN ON POST NOTIFICATIONS so you never miss a post. If Instagram makes this change, then you'll only see what Instagram deems as the "best" posts on your feed, which means you'll most likely never see a lot of posts by many of the people you follow (and they probably won't see your posts either).

I'm hosting the Monday Mingle link up today! It's a collaborative effort with me, Momtrends and BonBon Rose Girls. Please feel free to link up your posts below.

Paper Mate InkJoy Organization

I've always been an organized person. I really love the way it feels to know where things are, to know when things are due, to simply have order in your life. And having a blogging and work schedule only means that I have to continually do a great job keeping things on track. As you other bloggers might know, it really doesn't make sense to go anywhere without an agenda. And I've found that an organized agenda starts with fun writing tools, like these Paper Mate InkJoy Gel pens that brighten up the most tedious writing tasks.
My Paper Mate InkJoy Gel pens make keeping my life organized that much easier. They are quick drying with a comfort grip and smooth writing style. The fact that they come in 14 smear-free gel ink colors is yet another perk. I've been using the 0.7mm medium point gel ink pens in my 2016 Kate Spade agenda recently because I have a trip coming up next week! So it's super helpful to be able to write everything down so that I know when events are, when my flight leaves, what posts have to get done, etc.
These were taken on a busy Sunday, so I really needed my InkJoy gel pens and agenda while I was out and about purchasing a new device, making dinner reservations, catching a movie and knocking other things off my to-do list.

Do you use pens like these to help keep your life organized? Happy Friday and enjoy the first day of spring this Sunday!
