Presidential Predictions from 2011

So I was looking back at old blog posts for some post title inspirations recently when I stumbled upon a post that I wrote in 2011. The post -- Top 5 Headlines in April -- featured some fashion-related headlines about flatforms, Kate Middleton and more. But one thing that really stood out was the headline that Donald Trump was considering running for president. Remember, this was back in 2011. Obviously, we all know how that turned out now that we're in 2017. And I'm definitely not one to talk about politics on the Muse, but I wanted to share some of the comments that I received from that post.

This is in no way to upset anyone. I just thought it was pretty intriguing and even made me chuckle a bit. Sometimes you just have to "laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears." Maybe your comment made the cut.

I am curious about Mr. Trump. He might not be 'all' good but at least he doesn't pretend to me someone he is not. That I think might be refreshing from a Politician's angle, as most politicians are full of shit.

If Donald Trump runs for president I'm officially giving up on this country.

I'm loving all this news. I'm too annoyed and pissed at Trump to even comment on that story. Lol.

As for Donald Trump...if he runs for President, I'm voting for him. I find him humorous; and j'adore his daughter Ivanka! :)

Donald Trump -- I think it is a total joke. I think it is a publicity stunt for his show. I heard that he isn't announcing if he is really running for President or not until the finale of "The Apprentice." LAME. He's such an effing moron.

I agree Donald Trump needs to get over himself. President is a far cry from Celebrity Apprentice. Plus I doubt he can relate to the 'little guy'

Donald Trump is embarassing himself and needs to stop

D Trump = odd choice. not sure what to think but if he ran the country like he runs his business', i would be less than thrilled...seeing as how he has been in bankruptcy numerous times (but always paying his way out of them...like one should....). but, hey, we are already pretty close to bankruptcy now...sigh. dont get me started.

  7. Trump is a con man. I think very few people realised the extent of the conflicts of interest and influence he had behind the scenes with the corporate ownership of news media and with the corporations that backed him - the military industrial companies, oil and pipeline companies, and the news corporations themselves - they were so bought and paid for they held cameras on an empty stage waiting for Trump rather than cover the anti-corporate Bernie Sanders the night he pulled an upset primary win in Michigan. The news blackouts on Sanders and Stein/Baraka were appalling.
Though maybe everyone should have had an inkling how callous and mean he was from watching his TV show The Apprentice, he hadn't yet had the chance to act on the full amount of mean spirited conscienceless bigotry, greed and cruelty that he is using the office of President to act on. He has already established himself as war criminal, an enemy of the Constitution, an oppressor of all minorities, would be torturer, and an extremely cruel conscienceless corrupt pig. He has not only pandered to all of the worst hate groups and proved to be their advocate. He is pure evil.
It's too bad the corporate media is so beholden to corporations interested only in ratings and promoting their own financial self-interests, reporting ratings-grabbing sound-bites rather than reporting on Trump's evil actions and the conflicts of interest he's acting on to enrich himself and his corrupt cronies.
