Why the Bardot Neckline Is Seasonally Stylish

Happy Memorial Day!

Well look at me -- wearing a skirt on the blog. Something I haven't done since May of last year. It must be a hell of a skirt for me to wear it both on the blog and IRL. I'm simply not a skirt person, but this ruffle trim belted one totally caught my eye. Although, let's be honest. This look is all about the Bardot blouse. The ruffle trim and wide sleeves -- yes, please! Did I mention that it's under $20 as well? Shop it at the end of this post, muses. And like last week, I'm wearing these fun skinny cat-eye sunnies as well as another fab pair of clip-on earrings. Tassel loving.

By the way, a Bardot blouse just means an off the shoulder neckline. In the summertime, you simply can't go wrong with a Bardot neckline. It keeps you cool and shows some skin. I'd absolutely recommend it. The ruffles are just the cherry on top. Which do you like better: the ruffles on the neckline or the wide sleeves?

If you guys read the blog last week, then you know I went to BottleRock Napa over the weekend (Incubus was the highlight of my night). I also had a couple friends in town so the hubs and I showed them around as well (an amazing brunch was had). Even though I have a few more posts to do here and there, I'm basically in the early stages of a summer break. I mean, Memorial Day is usually the summer kick-off, and I'm totally in a summer state of mind.

Do you muses plan on taking any time off/away from blogging/social media this summer? Let me know if you have any exciting things planned (although relaxing around the house without a care in the world works, too -- and lots of naps).

  2. You look gorgeous and so cute in that skirt. Love this entire look. Today I need to rest, exercise and detox from all the crap I ate this weekend. I need to catch up on blog work, so I'll try to stay offline.
