Hey muses! I went to a Fashion Industry Insiders event the other night and it was very informative. I met a lot of people like designers, models, stylists, publicists, and makeup artists. I would recommend that you all see if there is something like this in your area because it would be great for fashion networking.
Anyhoo, one of the makeup artists I met told me that I had great eyes and they would be great for color experimentation, i.e., bright eyeshadows. I don't really mess with bright shadows but that's because I don't know the first thing about bright makeup. But I hope you ladies are more adventurous than I am.
ARE YOU?
I think one day I will give it a try, but for now I'll just get inspired by these photos.
And I think these eyeshadows are reminiscent of the sky:
Now I just have to figure out how to keep my bright eye makeup looking like the above photos and not like the one below. Seems like a fine line.

lol @ the mimi picture. I tend to stay away from bright shadows and stick with a neutral palette but the blue and purple combo is very pretty. I may jump out of comfort zone one day.

I always want to try brighter shadows, but like you I get worried I'll transcend into the Mimi stage lol. I want to see it on you, I bet it would look great!

I dont know the first thing about makeup! Haha, well I kind of do, I just dont know how to put it on, but I can spot what looks well, whats in style, ect. I love the first eye shadow picture, with the blue on top and purple on bottom! Just amazing!
ReplyDeleteim nervous with bright eyeshadow as well. I read an article the other day (on bright wearing bright eyeshadow) and apparently as I have green eyes I should wear brown and gold..not really bright is it? oh well.
ReplyDeletegood luck with recreating your eye looks:)

i don't really play around with bright eyeshadow either, but that's mainly because i'm just starting out experimenting with neutrals. but i'm sure you can pull it off. :D

The inspiration photos are gorgeous ! I tend to use a lot of lilac and blue on my eyes, I was a bit afraid that it might be a little over the top at first, but it is just a matter of getting used to it and becoming confident about your make-up skills! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I will be definitely trying the blue and purple mix from the first picture!
