Over the weekend, I went with my hubby and in-laws to this great place called Lips, which touts itself as the ultimate in drag dining.
Do you like what I wore?
I actually bought the lace blazer on my way to the show. The blazer has a scalloped trim, a hook closure in front, and ruched shoulders with padding.You might remember this heart print top from my trip to H&M in this post.
I like to call this photo The Women. These are all my hubby's girls--his aunt, his grandma, his mom and me.
What a bunch of fashionistas, am I right?
On to the show! These are only 2 of the many performers from the Sunday Gospel Brunch special. Basically, the ladies did vivacious lip-singing to various gospel songs.
The lovely lady on the right is Nicolette, the emcee who provided us with great jokes and a wonderful performance of her own to Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror, where she literally stripped down to her true self as you can see.How about the name of those drinks? They also served great food!
I know there is a Lips in New York as well. They have different shows on different days like Bitchy Bingo, Dinner with the Divas, and Retro Superstars.Have you ever been to a show like this?

I went to a drag show in NYC once and it was a trip! We had a lot of fun, definitely one of my fave memories of NYC. =)
