Lookbook: The Casual Essential

Now that we're in April, I hope that most of the country is starting to look and feel more like spring. This is the time of year that many of us clean out our closets by ridding ourselves of pieces we've outgrown and revamping our look with the essentials. So I'm all about making my closet fun again for spring, including great minimalist pieces and wardrobe basics like casual styles from British clothing brand, Boden.

This shirt from Boden is white, light and provides a splash of color with the blue polka dots that put me in the mindset of a sunny weekend brunch instead of a blah day rummaging through emails. And the tank underneath gives me that perfect pattern mix of stripes and dots that can truly brighten one's day. The cuff detail on the shirt easily adds some fun color blocking.
