Lookbook: The Birdcage

Over the weekend I traveled to Austin for a wedding. These photos were taken before the rehearsal dinner at the House on the Hill. I was braving the soon-approaching sunset and some light rain, but I think the pictures turned out pretty well all things considering. I received many compliments on the Concrete Runway blush cage top. And thank heavens for these block sandals. They are seriously the most comfortable, yet fashionable shoes I own. You might have seen a little preview of this look if you follow me on Instagram--you do, right?

I've been to Austin before, but it's always nice to take in the city and see what it has to offer. We visited 6th and Congress and also had some yummy Puerto Rican food, including a very decadent tres leches cake and fantastic horchate. But I did find time to make it to the hotel gym...on occasion. It ain't easy being a carboholic.

The title is my subtle Robin Williams tribute because The Birdcage is a fab movie based on La Cage aux Folles.
