Cree Summer

Hello June! This is going to be a busy week for me -- and the start of a busy month as well. On Tuesday I'm heading to the Cabi Conversations event in Los Angeles. It's a dinner and discussion event hosted by Cabi Clothing. You should check out their new collections when you get a chance. Then on Wednesday, I'm flying from L.A. to San Diego for a Mazda event. Remember when I took the CX-5 on a spin last year? Well I was invited to attend this interactive Mazda experience that includes a cocktail reception, an olive oil tasting and the chance to drive the new Mazda CX-5 and MX-5 RF, all while staying at a beautiful resort and spa. Then on Thursday I finally come back home to the Bay Area just in time for the Lora Zombie Art Show in San Francisco. If you didn't know, Lora Zombie is the hubs' favorite artist and we own probably three of her pieces already.

So yeah...there's a lot going on this week. I should go get a mani.

I initially wanted to wear my new bodysuit, but it just wasn't working with this look. So I opted for an old favorite (that you might recognize below in the Linkup photo) that I wore in Vegas last March because stripes and flares are always in, especially in the summer. I paired the flounce crop top with my newest obsession: these culotte pants by J.McLaughlin. If they look a little familiar it's because I wore them to the Chandon/Bottle Rock event last week. I love pants like these because they're comfortable (unlike skinny jeans), they're chic (unlike shorts), and they're effortless (unlike rompers). Plus, they have pockets! 'Nuff said.

The post title is the name of an actress, Cree Summer, who used to rock hair like this back in 1990. I feel like I'm getting my Cree Summer on in the summertime.
