A little bit of an update on what's been going on with me on Instagram. Here are a few of my favorites from the last six or seven months that you didn't see on the blog! I also share honest commentary on the photos that you wouldn't typically get on the gram. Be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up to date.
// Morning Picnic Scene -- 3.7 //
Typically I post on the gram in the early morning hours. On this day, as soon as I woke up I decided to post this photo, but I hadn't actually taken the photo. So I asked the hubs to come outside and take this photo at like 7:45 a.m. Five minutes later, I posted it to the gram. Note: I'm standing on a step stool. That morning light, though.
// Balloon Monkey at LACMA -- 1.31 //
The Jeff Koons balloon monkey display at LACMA that I saw when I was in Los Angeles back in January. It looks more like a monkey from the side, trust me. True story: this sculpture is actually red in color, but I wanted it to match my feed so I changed the color tones. Now you know.
// MOIC -- 1.16 //

// MOIC -- 1.16 //
I bought tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream in San Francisco months in advance because I knew the available dates would get sold out. It is seriously just the perfect place for Instagram photos. There isn't much history or real reason for this museum, though. It only exists because things like Instagram exists. But I did have fun taking photos on this swing in the whipped cream room.
// Snow in Tahoe -- 1.2 //
My relationship with cold places: I love the way snow looks covering houses and rocks and the like. I just wish I could get the snow without the cold. Is that so much to ask, Mother Nature?
// Nectar and Neegs -- 12.19 //
This Nectar Sleep mattress is delivered to your home like a burrito. I had no idea. You basically roll it out and let it rise like a souffle. It doesn't fully rise until about three days in. But it's memory foam so your body fits right in it. I'm just surprised I got Neegs to sit long enough for this photo.
// Mochi Me -- 10.24 //
Mochi comes in a variety of flavors, like green tea, coffee, strawberry, etc. I got this assortment from Whole Foods mainly because I wanted a colorful photo. I only ate the vanilla bean ones though and made the hubs eat the rest.
// Seven Daughters -- 9.30 //
You all know I collaborate with Seven Daughters Wines. This just happens to be one of my favorite photos from our collab. Note: I have a glass of moscato in my hand, a glass of moscato in the foreground, and an open can of moscato next to it. I did NOT drink all this moscato. I'm a slow drinker of all beverages anyway.
// Xfinity in NYC -- 9.21 //
Back in September I did a campaign with Comcast Xfinity in NYC. I got to New York (from Cali) at 11 p.m., was still on west coast time so didn't fall asleep until 1 a.m., then woke up at 5 a.m. to shoot on location in the Flatiron District for six hours before heading to my first show at NYFW. It was a long, but fun day. I think I watched this particular episode of The Blacklist about 20 times, lol. If you want to see full videos from the campaign, then watch here. The most annoying thing is that I now have At&t and it sucks. Can't wait to go back to Xfinity. No one's paying me to say that.
// Sunnies-Days -- 8.29 //
This photo was taken early morning at the beach before the hubs' tennis tournament. It was freezing. But there were actually a ton of people already at the beach eating breakfast, drinking coffee and walking their dogs. Californians are nuts. I got the shot, put on the sunnies, got back in the car and drank my hot chai in the warmth like a normal person. Contrary to popular belief, west coast beaches are cold quite often. If you want a warm beach, then go to the east coast and swim in the Atlantic.
// Hacienda Bar -- 8.3 //
We almost didn't make it to this bar. It was a random stop while we waited for our ferry ride. Once I got to it, I realized that I had seen it doing my Australia research and that I actually really wanted to check it out. The light bites weren't very tasty, but the drinks were nice. But let's be honest -- it's all about the decor here.
