Could this be the last blog post on the Muse for a while? The odds are strong with this one, my friends. It's definitely the last post for the month of May. Here are four things I loved this month!
Apple Roses: It's not so much that I'm loving apple roses this month. It's more so that I loved that I took the time to make these apple roses by myself. I am not a kitchen person. I don't cook and I don't bake. I don't want to do those things, either. But I was intent on having apple roses, and I only had two options: drive 35 miles to a bakery in Santa Cruz or bake them myself. I opted for the latter. I'm surprised they turned out as well as they did -- and they're not even that good, lol. But I'm really just proud of myself for trying something new. Did you try anything new this month?
Friday Night Lights: Last month it was Suits, this time around it's FNL. I was actually searching for Friday Night Lights when I decided to watch Suits instead, but that's because I couldn't find all five seasons anywhere. Fortunately, every episode is now available on Hulu, so you know I got my binge on. To be honest, I really wanted to watch this show because people said it was great, and I think Taylor Kitsch is eye candy. But I actually really enjoyed a lot of the other characters as well. Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton have amazing chemistry (although Aimee Teagarden's Julie Taylor is the worst). And I absolutely LOVE Jason Street. If you want to see a young Michael B. Jordan before he was Killmonger or Creed, then check out seasons 4 and 5 (or season 1 of The Wire).
June Sabbatical: The hubs has a month-long sabbatical in June and I'm taking time off as well. We'll be traveling, first to a friend's wedding and to see some family in Atlanta. Then we're off to the Mediterranean. We're going to Rome, Venice, the Amalfi Coast, Dubrovnik, a boat tour in Croatia, Naxos, Santorini and Istanbul. After this trip, I'll never leave my house again, lol. So I have one post next week, but that'll be it until July. However, I'll share some travel posts and stories on Instagram (@ohtobeamuse) here and there, so stay tuned for a recap when I'm back in July!
enjoy your month, this sounds like such an awesome trip.
