Autumn-Inspired Looks that Are Simple & Bold

Autumn vibes are upon us. The beginning of this season can be interesting because it can be cold and hot in the same day. Today's outfit reflects that duality while also incorporating edgy gold necklaces to the look with this obelisk pendant from AUrate. It's been one year since I moved to Atlanta, and I remember the weather being particularly great in this month. But it's still early fall, so that means transitional pieces are our best bet. A cardigan sweater and jeans will work in the morning, but something a little more lightweight will be your friend in the afternoon. That's why I've opted for this look, which features a pair of high-waisted cargo ankle jeans (they were buy one, get one) and a cut-out bodysuit that's 50% off. Pro tip: NY&Co sizing is totally off. Everything runs big so I'd recommend sizing down, especially with the pants. Would you believe me if I told you that I'm wearing a size 0 here?

Another Way to Wear

The best thing about these cargo jeans is that they look great paired with biker or combat boots (that's how I first wore them) or with chic heels. Biker boots will give you that stepped out to get a cup of coffee and now running errands look (I actually took these photos right after getting a chai at Starbucks). They're the comfortable yet edgy alternative. The heels would be reserved for when you take these jeans out for a date night or event. For this look, the shoes you pick will most likely depend on your mood, though.

In Other News

Since last we spoke, I've seen a few movies (The Kitchen, Hustlers), had a game night, went tubing with the family, saw an improv show, got a new tattoo (can you spot it in these photos?), experienced The Void, and walked in a puppy runway show for charity to name a few.
