All Things Home Decor. Being able to work on my house has made this isolated life that much easier. "Free" time is spent doing things from painting and caulking to decorating and trimming tree branches. I've been finding new homes for old pieces and adding new pieces to this old home. As you recall from April's Stay Home post, I've been updating my house to make it my own. So much more has happened since a month back. I've added a few more plants (a pothos, pampas grass, cast irons, and birds of paradise); I repurposed a TV stand into a console table; I've re-positioned furniture and added shelves and wall art. And modern light fixtures are up and the master bedroom is finally painted!
All Things Skin Care. I'll admit it. I'm no different from anyone else. Even though hardly anyone sees my face these days, like the masses, I've been putting in the effort to better my skin care routine. This consists of doing multiple face masks a week and daily cleansing. I've also been exfoliating, toning, using serums for both the face and eyes, moisturizing and even doing body scrubs. If you'd like to buy, here are links to the products I'm currently using. Keep in mind that I don't use all of these every day. This is just what you would find in my quarantine skin care go bag.
Algenist Genius Liquid Collagen | Algenist Genius Ultimate Anti-Aging Cream | Algenist Alive Prebiotic Balancing Mask | Bliss Rose Gold Rescue Soothing Toner Mist | Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream | Pixi Beauty Vitamin-C Caviar Balm | Pixi Beauty Vitamin-C Serum | Ole Henriksen Truth C-Rush Brightening Gel Creme | Dermalogica Intensive Moisture Balance | Promise Organic Coconut Milk Daily Facial Scrub | 100% Pure Blood Orange Cleansing Balm | Any Salicylic Acid face cleanser
Most of this skincare items are linked at the top of my homepage as well. I'm also selling an awesome Pixi PR set on my Poshmark too.
All Things Podcasts. When I've had enough of my many streaming services, but I'm not in the mood to read (recently finished reading Trust Me When I Lie), then I go for jaunts around the neighborhood. I put on my headphones and some SPF and get in some cardio, vitamin D and a podcast. You really can't go wrong with a good podcast. Plus, it's like you're having a conversation with friends for all those who need some sort of social interaction. The boyfriend and I actually did a makeshift at-home podcast with each other a couple weeks ago. Nothing was recorded; we were just bored in the house and in the house bored. I'm not as varied when it comes to my podcast choices, so feel free to leave your recs in the comments. But here are the ones that have grabbed my ear lately.
The Tennis Podcast | Spilling Eve (a Killing Eve podcast) | Pop Culture Happy Hour
99% Invisible | How Did This Get Made? | The Rewatchables | Mindhunter Companion | TV Concierge
P.s., these photos are evidence of the first time in quarantine that I put on makeup and dressed up since March 24.
I've been loving the same things too during quarantine! The only difference is that I noticed I listen to less podcast.

Right now I'm actually watching more streaming than I am listening to podcasts to be honest, lol.
DeleteI subscribe to one streaming service at a time and then pause the others. So next month I am pausing Netflix and going back to Hulu. I wasn't impressed with Little Fires Everywhere. It felt contrived and half-assed to me.
ReplyDelete❥ tanvii.com
I'm lucky to be bumming both Hulu and Netflix off other people, lol. I agree with you that Little Fires wasn't particularly great. But I really wanted to watch it, so I'm glad I did. I think Kerry did a lot of overacting and that Reese might want to consider playing a different kind of character.
DeleteI heard Little Fires is really good. I better jump on that.
ReplyDeleteThere are actually a lot of mixed feelings about Little Fires. I'm somewhere in the middle, but you'd have to check it out for yourself to know for sure.
DeleteLooking good, Cheryl! Love the jumpsuit.
ReplyDeleteI am really dying to watch the show What We Do In The Shadows since I loved the movie so much. Everyone says it really is super funny:) And also want to try that Ole Henriksen Brightening Gel Cream:)
Hope you're having a lovely day so far:)
What We Do In The Shadows is an absolute must watch. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
DeleteI have been doing the same. Reorganizing, decluttering and redecorating my space too. I so want to add some pampas grass too! Love your design aesthetic!
ReplyDeleteAllie of

Thanks, Allie. I call it Coastal Farmhouse, lol. And I would totally recommend pampas grass. They add so much style to a room and you don't have to water them.
DeleteI've been loving skincare routines which I will continue to do long after (I hope). I'm glad you have finished painting your bedroom. I do love changing the look to a room if I can't decorate, then a bit of feng shui will.
ReplyDeletewww.juanitalikes.com
Yes! It's amazing how much better a room can look by changing the paint color and moving some furniture around.
DeleteWe got a super deal on Hulu but haven't watched it much aside from Bong Joon Ho's movies. We are watching What We Do in the Shadows on regular tv. That show is mad hilarious.
ReplyDeleteOMG. What We Do in the Shadows is my absolute favorite. So glad that it's Thursday, which means there will be a new episode on tonight!
DeleteI've not watched Little Fires Everywhere yet but even my mum is on top of pop culture these days, lol. She told me it's okay but I am out of the loop. I am a huge fan of Algenist, and have tried a lot from the brand. Right now, I am just reading My Sweet Revenge, and listening to loads of Audible books whilst I work, Winter Dark is pretty good (it's a crime thriller though).
ReplyDeleteCrime thrillers are my favorite. I'll add Winter Dark to my list!
DeleteI am in love with your table decor! And the place mats, I want!

Why, thank you. Can you believe I got the place mats from Dollar General?
DeleteLove that table setup...so pretty! I also have been making moves in my skincare routine and upgrading some things (my routine was practically non-existent before quarantine). Mostly though, organizing takes the cake! xoxo, Sarah
ReplyDeleteLol, I had a skincare routine before quarantine, but it just wasn't this detailed. I now have the time to really take care of my skin. Who knew!
DeleteWith you on all things home decor and all things skincare. Definitely been in indulging in long skincare routines. Your home looks beautiful lady!

Long skincare routines for the win -- and thank you!
DeleteI am loving this round-up, and I love the skincare piece. I can't tell you how many people have been asking more skincare questions!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We have so much time on our hands now that we can actually take care of our skin, lol.
DeleteI'm right there with you on podcasts! Going for a walk with a podcast on is so calming!
ReplyDeleteYes! It's like I'm in my own little world when I go walking with a podcast on.
DeleteI loved this! I've been doing a lot of the same things although, I've stopped listening to podcasts and hsve been watching more youtube videos :-)

I've actually been watching a lot of workout videos on YouTube -- so great for those at-home workouts.
DeleteHome decor was really a thing during this quarantine !
ReplyDeleteThat and skin care, for sure!
DeleteYes to Home Decor!! I've been going ham haha!
ReplyDeleteLol, SAME. I'm really enjoying it.
DeleteSounds like you're really making the most of quarantine life. Lots of binging and self-care! That's the way to do it, girlfriend. I haven't been watching anything at all on Hulu, but I am re-watching Gilmore Girls (and this time with my husband). Mostly reading and baking over here haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm now re-watching Justified on Hulu, and can def see myself re-watching Gilmore Girls soon. I'll be reading more as well. Have fun baking!
DeleteThis was great to read! I'm going to be checking out some of this skincare stuff, I've been skincare obsessed lately. Xx.
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely do. I've really been seeing a difference with my skin since I've been more consistent.
DeleteI was just thinking I need some new Hulu shows! High Fidelity was sooo good.
ReplyDeleteI had very high hopes for that one, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
DeleteI need to look into some of these podcasts! I love listening to them during the week
ReplyDeleteMe too. I don't really know what your taste is like, but maybe TV Concierge is your best bet.
DeleteGreat to see you here and I have been loving your home updates. Stay well my Friend.
ReplyDeletewww.madamtoomuch.com
Thank you. Hope you're doing well in these hard times.
DeleteYou are getting it done for sure in quarantine! I'm sure the house looks amazing- it def does from the little peek we see here.

I'll definitely share more of the house soon --photos of the bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and loft are on the way!
DeleteHow pretty is your table set-up! I like reading post like this at these times of lockdown.
ReplyDeletewww.busyandfab.com
Thank you. I love having the plates set up on the table as well.
DeleteThis is such a great post! I love that I have found a lot of things I'm loving during quarantine too!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear.
DeleteOoooooh I love this! I'm doing a similar routine as you with different products, and I have tried a few you listed. Hope to try more, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhich ones have you tried?
