Witchy Woman

10/10/2016

When I first laid eyes on this Free People sweater dress, I got this ethereal vibe from it, like a chic witchy woman. It couldn't be more perfect for a look this close to Halloween (speaking of Halloween -- check out my Suicide Squad/Harley Quinn inspired look).

This sweater dress is quite solid yet also lightweight with its sheer design. The accompanying slip underneath helps keep the look warm and the layered design at the hem adds a stylish juxtaposition against the wide, flared sleeves.

You can probably tell that I'm really feeling the wide sleeve look based on my bell sleeve outfit from a couple weeks ago. And if you don't like it in black, then you can also find it in ballet blush or elm wine -- all perfect colors for autumn styling. I took these photos in the middle of day, hence the sunlight peeking through the architecture of this building.

But that actually turned out pretty cool with these fab shadows. Turns out, that also goes pretty well with the song lyrics to Witchy Woman by the Eagles below, too.

"She held me spellbound in the night.
Dancing shadows and firelight.
Woo hoo, Witchy Woman. See how high she flies.
Woo hoo, Witchy Woman. She got the moon in her eye."

And you guys remember these cut out wedges, right? Well, they're also from Free People. They make for the perfect pairing with the sweater dress with the tonal stacked heel, pointed toe and back cut out. These suede wedges also come in nude, which provides an even bigger color contrast on the stacked heel. But I opted for the black to really solidify the witchy woman vibe. So muses, what do you think of this Free People look? You know I'm into the neutrals and blush tones this fall, but I'll always make room for something that never fails: an all black outfit.
