Halloween Makeup with 100% Pure

Back in August, 100% Pure reached out to me to take part in their Halloween Makeup Look campaign. If you don't know about 100% Pure, please check out all the times I've mentioned them on the Muse in the past:

But 100% Pure is also a natural and cruelty-free cosmetics company focused on spreading the clean beauty movement through healthy beauty with only the highest quality ingredients and without toxic chemicals. They are exactly what they preach: 100% pure.
So I was glad to step into their office (about 10 minutes from my house, by the way) and have their resident makeup artist create a Halloween makeup look on me, all with products by 100% Pure. My Halloween look was a jungle cat -- aka a black panther -- aka a stand in for Lupita Nyong'o and Danai Gurira, lol. No, just a jungle cat, complete with super cute cat ears as well.

Seriously, it's not too late to add me to the Black Panther movie...

I digress. As I said, my jungle cat -- or cocoa glow kitty -- look was created with products from 100% Pure. So I'm going to share those products with you guys below. One of my all-time favorite products in the history of all products is the Coffee Bean Caffeine eye cream. It's great at brightening dark circles and de-puffing. The hubs has one for himself, too, and he loves it. Plus, it smells amazing and is made with arabica beans.

Skincare Priming

// coffee bean caffeine eye cream // organic sweet mint lip scrub (not available online) // bright eyes mask //

Makeup Application

Makeup Removal

Note that I've included the makeup items that were used along with some skincare products that were used on my face both before the makeup application and after as part of the makeup removal process. I gotta tell ya, I use that rose water moisturizer every day, and the cleansing balm works wonders at removing makeup easily.
I also did a few swatches for the 100% Pure New Lipstick campaign. In the makeup look, I'm wearing the color hyacinthus. But for the swatches, I tried out the cocoa butter matter lipstick in sandstone and the fruit pigmented pomegranate oil anti aging lipstick in foxglove. Side note: I used to have foxgloves in my side yard.

Feel free to check out more of my look and the other Halloween looks on the 100% Pure blog!

  15. Love the Hallween look & the fact the brand is cruelty-free. Did this look take long for her to do overall? I am totally lazy with my makeup lately unless it's for date night .. or perhaps Halloween, haha. :-)

    1. So I was scheduled to be there for 4 hours, but it actually only took about 2.5 hours to complete, including some behind-the-scenes lighting, camera switch stuff. For regular makeup, that's a long time, but I think it's pretty good for a Halloween look.
