Suit Up: Wardrobe and Lifestyle Changes in Spring

I don't own a lot of bodysuits but that's mainly because I don't like to deal with the whole onesie thing. But after getting this blush one from Lola Shoetique, I just might change my mind this spring. And it's always fun to rock a pair of denim like these every angle jeans with their wider legs. They go so well with the chunky mules, and really allow you to switch up your wardrobe selections.

We all know spring is all about getting a refresh -- from simple wardrobe changes to bigger lifestyle changes. I've refreshed my home decor; I've changed up my social media schedule to give myself more time outside of social media, etc. Are you guys making any spring changes?

And a couple weeks ago, I went to a friend's house cooling party. It was really a going away party as my two friends invited people over to their house before they left the country for a year. That's right. They are taking a year off work and spending the majority of that time traveling by boat. They're both originally from Europe so they'll be heading back there first before their boat adventures.

Have you ever thought about taking a full year off work and just traveling? I think about things like this all the time. But then I wonder if I'd actually ever do it.

  1. I would so love to take a year off, it sounds amazing but a lot of prepping needs to be done prior. Love this sexy bodysuit, you styled it perfectly.

  4. How exciting ... I think about that too but I doubt I will ever do it. I am so much of a homebody that I wouldn't like being away for that long.

Those are some great jean tho.

  9. Cute outfit! Oh, I don't think I have the guts to leave my settled life for a year and travel. It sounds so amazing! I would love to do it, but for me, it's more a dream.

  10. I love these crop flares on you!!! I have 100% thought about traveling for a year. It could be hard financially, but I'm sure I wouldn't regret it at all!

  11. Love the suite up wardrobe look you have going on there. I asked Darcee if this is something she would wear and she said that she loved your jeans and the shoes but she is not a big fan of the onesie because she says its a pain when she has to go to the bathroom. (TMI for this guy!)
I love your outlook on the updating of your lifestyle for spring. I think some people do some spring cleaning but I never really thought of mixing up my schedule around to give myself some new and refreshing outlooks, like with work or social media. Do love the idea of spending more time offline though.
Finally...what a cool idea with the house cooling party! Never even heard of that term but totally makes sense. As a bucket list adventurer, I am 100% all for taking a year off and travelling the world. I wish your friends all the luck in the world as they embark on a grand adventure!

  12. I don't know if I would want to take off a whole year for travel, as travelling seems to make me a bit tired if it is for too long. However, a couple months would be good! :)

  15. What a fun look!! I seriously love a good bodysuit and have been stocking up on them lately. I'm wearing them almost everyday now! They are just so easy to style up or down.

  16. I love these jeans and the tie waist.
As much as I like to travel I cannot go more than 20 days at a time. I need to touch down base at home!
Also I could not carry around all that I have bought!

  18. This is a great bodysuit and you look fab in it, Cheryl! I actually sewed one for myself awhile back but I used the wrong fabric so it didn't fit me...it didn't even fit my 8-yr old DD...heh! Anyhoo, am so jealous of your friends. Would love to do that with the hubby but alas, we have these darn things called kids...LOLZ

  28. Your pink lace and sheer mesh Risqué Bodysuit from Lola Shoetique is gorgeous, and is complemented beautifully by the powder blue cardigan and the light blue denim jeans. Your hair looks pretty, and the wide brimmed hat looks great styled with your outfit as well.

  29. This outfit is so You and kinda sexy too. When I was free-lancing we traveled a lot and I got tired of living out of a suitcase. That is the only sour note to being on a boat for more than 3 months aside of travel sickness. Enjoy April when it comes my Dear.

I have a good friend who just took off on a yearlong adventure. I admire her but couldn't do it (also my whole family would have to do it!)

  34. The bodysuit is such a lovely colour. I have definitely changed a lot for spring but started transitions in winter. I have a few new projects so my time has been dedicated to those the past couple of months. Breaks from social platforms are necessary for me and the only way I can have balance, far too busy otherwise and I love to enjoy life. Happy Monday, lovely!
