Ever heard of a little site called Rent The Runway? This is a good time to check it out if you haven't already. Remember this Halston Heritage dress that SJP wore in SATC2? You may not be able to afford to buy it ($325), but now you can rent it for way less ($50).

The site allows you to rent actual designer dresses at a fraction of the cost. You can rent them for 4 or 8 days and get the option of two dress sizes, and even qualify for same-day delivery if you live in New York. They have many designer dresses and accessories on the site that can all be rented.
