We're already halfway through the month of January, but that still gives us enough time to get started on New Year's Resolutions. Here are a few quick, easy and fun makeup resolutions that all of us makeup and muses should bring into the new year!

Resolution #1:
Bright, bold lips are a definite makeup resolution to consider in 2011.
Stars like Lauren Conrad and Natalie Portman are plumping up their lips without the use of injections.
Bright pinks and plump plum-colored lipstick shades are definitely more fab than not.

So many of us already know how to use eyeliner and mascara in the typical way.
But one of the new trends of the new year is to use a liquid liner on the top of your lid alone and refrain from lower lid smudge.
Also, don't skimp on the mascara any longer! Show off your lashes on both the top and the bottom with a great, dark mascara.

Resolution #3
Decorating your hair with tinsel was actually a bit fun during the holidays because the tinsel added sparkle to your look.
But this confetti-inspired trend should not be seen in public if you are not: a) going to a costume party, b) a pre-teen, or c) Ke$ha. Like I said, hair tinsel is cute at parties, but if you want to be taken seriously, then leave it in 2010.
ohh i reallt didn't like the tinsel in Beyonce's hair! It's nice for christmas, but I agree leave it behind now! I really want to get coloured highlights in my hair for summer! XX
ReplyDeleteI'm going to try the bold lips for sure, actually I have already begun! :)

nice! haha and i like how you threw in not to wear tinsel in your hair except for the holidays! :D
ReplyDeleteGreat resolutions! My resolutions would be to try lip stick instead of my usual lip gloss and to really master a few dramatic eye make-up looks.
ReplyDeleteI dont have much of makeup resolutions except that I wanted to learn to put false eyelashes, not buying more makeup lol but it seems not buying any makeup is not going to succeed as I started 2011 with an addiction of Nars hehe
ReplyDeletei need to leanr how to use make up!!! XD
ReplyDeletei think i'm definitely gonna go for bright and bold lips. i hope you have a great weekend! :D

Seriously what's up with the hair tinsel? I wouldn't even rock it during the holidays. Sparkle us lovely but not in your hair as tinsel!
ReplyDeletebright bold lips are definitely a must :)
ReplyDeleteI'd like to try a few shades of lip gloss with a light pink tint to them - as opposed to nude colors - for the new year. :)
ReplyDeleteI can do the bold lips but damn the liner on the bottom lid...heheeh!!! not really sure...i am not really expert on Make up you know...and you are absolutely correct ELF products are amazing...

These are definitely some great resolutions to go by in the new year. :) I'm not a big makeup person either, but I'm going to have to commit myself to "bright, bold lips" because, like Southerners from the North said, they are a must!

I want to have more fun with my makeup and do it more often. I work from home so I rarely even wear any, but I miss playing with my look.
