Lookbook: Pretty in Pink

pink-ladiesAre you a fan of the movie Grease? I mean, who isn't? I love the original (and I've even seen Grease 2 with Michelle Pfeiffer a few times). But I was definitely a big fan of their style, especially those poodle skirts, pink jackets and gum popping ways. So I guess that sort of inspired me to put together this outfit. And by the way, my favorite Pink Lady is Rizzo!

pink-romper1Anyhoo, have you all seen those Maxxinista commercials? I'm sure you have. I got so bored with constantly shopping at the same two places--even though I do enjoy the stores. So I thought I'd try to make my way to stores like TJ Maxx and Ross and dig through the large amounts of discounted clothes in search for diamonds in the rough.

pink-romper3I actually found a few cute pieces--tops, rompers and shoes--that I fell in love with. This romper is absolutely adorable and has a really unique design and cutout back. I paired it with this pink jacket that I've had for quite a while (I mean, since high school). It would be awesome if the jacket were green or something so I could do some color blocking. The belts are in two different shades of pink. And what about these awesome clogs? Oh and I got my hair done--this style makes me feel very California chic.

    I LOVE this outfit! Every piece is adorable!
    I love shopping at Ross and Marshall's. Our TJMaxx isn't very nice is my area...
    I'm actually a bigger fan of Grease 2! I have prob watched it 50 times (at least!)! I knew every song and every dance!

    Grease is such an amazing film...my favorite Pink Lady is Rizzo. She was tough and could hane with the guys, I liked that about her and her style was great too. Now I am going to have "Hopelessly Devoted" stuck in my head ; ).

    Oh gosh, I can't even count how many times I've seen the movie grease. Whenever I see a pink blazer or jacket, my mind immediately goes there! You're too cute in your modern day pink lady ensemble!! And that romper is just adorable. I usually don't give ross the time of day, but maybe I should start.
