Lookbook: Dress for Less

*Note: I originally posted this May 12, but Blogger had some serious issues and took down everyone's May 12th posts and also got rid of all the comments!

ruffled-dress2The story with this dress is that I went to Ross looking for designer deals and shoes and whatnot and I happened upon this dress. Now, the first time I saw this dress I thought it looked cute and that the bottom was so creative, but I wasn't sure how much I liked it so I passed.

ruffled-dress3Then I went back to Ross about a week later and saw this damn dress again. And this was at a different Ross, by the way. So I thought that maybe it was fate and that this dress was meant to be in my shopping cart. After I tried it on and belted it, I realized that it was definitely going to be a good buy.

ruffled-dress4These BCBG shoes are also from Ross -- or TJ Maxx. Seriously I'm constantly getting these two places mixed up.

Almost all of the jewelry is gifted, except for the butterfly necklace that I bought on eBay for about $2. The belt came with a different piece, so the entire outfit is around $45 and that includes the shoes.

    The color of the dress we call "altrosa" in German and it's one of my absolute favourite colors. The dress looks wonderful on you. It's a wonderful outfit, perfectly combined, and I can't believe that it was only 45$!!!

    I love the hem of the dress and the color is great, a very unique take on pink that's not overwhelming. I also love your use of accessories from the belt to the butterfly and bangles.
