Inspiring Style: Get Fit with Lululemon

I don't typically talk about working out on this blog mainly because I've been very bad about doing it myself. My idea of working out lately has been walking my dogs, the occasional P90X and random power jogs to the gas station to award myself with something truly unhealthy.

My main problems are two things: I don't have a gym where I live and I don't have the type of gear necessary. So what I need to do to get myself back in the workout groove is to stock up on the proper attire and then get more serious about it.

I always find working out to be a ton of fun once I've done it. It's the getting there that kind of blows, wouldn't you agree?

Working out ain't easy. But it is a lot easier when wearing the proper attire. That's where Lululemon comes in. The clothing makes working out more comfortable as they are specifically tailored for exercise.

The yoga pants are breathable, stretchy and already pre-shrunk. The sports bras come in a wide variety of sizes, colors and support. And the socks don't make your feet sweat. All the underwear is made of mositure-wicking fabric and have no visible lines--what could be better?

You can find everything you need for a workout from mats and gym bags to headbands and sports bottles. The apparel works well for running, dancing, riding or just plain working out at the gym.

So my goal is to get my workout on, but if for some reason that doesn't quite pan out, at least it's fall so I'll just cover up in layers.

Do you own anything from Lululemon?

What's your workout routine?

  3. I don't typically work out in Lululemon because I sweat like a dude, and I feel bad sweating in something so nice. I usually only wear Nike when I work out because it has the dri-fit that soaks up all of my man sweat. Lululemon clothes are really nice and comfortable, though.

  5. I'm honestly horrible when it comes to working out. It comes and goes in phases. I took off about a year and let my gym membership run out but I am joining a new one on Sunday and starting out fresh :)

Hope you have a great weekend, sweetie! xoxo

  9. I try to do yoga or pilates or just strength training 4-5 days a week for 30 minutes and, when I have time, I'll do one afternoon a week at the gym or take a class. That and I don't drive so I walk or bike everywhere!

  10. I'm like you, I have a bad habit of not working out and when I do, I tend to negate the entire experience with a delicious treat. Lol.

I like those yoga pants! Maybe if I ever do get in the serious habit of working out, I will check out this brand. :)

  11. I usually walk my neighborhood to exercise. If I'm feeling ultra motivated, I will hop on the treadmill and/or elliptical machine at the gym at my work...

  18. I completely agree. I can't afford a gym membership anymore, but when I went, I loved it. It was getting my booty to go over there that was hard! :)

  19. hahaha I love how Vancouver was considered one of the most ugliest dressed cities because a lot of us wear Lululemons as everyday clothing. People who don't even work out wear them. So expensive though!

  21. Late to the workout party post! Just went to look at the size and my heart seized up at the thought of spending $75+ for a pair of pants. Yeah, I get that they're cool fabric, but yeesh! It was nice to see that they might have tall (but not in the pairs I looked at) because high water workout pants do not look cool, LOL! All the best on your workout goals :) I'm doing a little each day. You have to start somewhere.
