I had this fantastic idea to take photos for the blog at a nearby orange grove. I live right next to it and thought I had some sort of "light bulb" moment when I decided that an orange grove would make a great backdrop.
I was half right and half wrong. For one, I do think this orange grove background is pretty cool and something different. But, I had no idea there would be so much mud and dirt involved. This is why there is no close-up shot of my Steve Madden booties. Also, I'm pretty sure certain I was trespassing.Just wanted to show the back of the dress, which is actually the front of the dress. I felt it would look better if I wore it backward for the high neck and the low back.♥ H&M blazer ♥ Tobi dress ♥ Samantha necklace c/o Sarah's Boutique ♥ Would What Jackson Pollock Do Jonathan Aston tights c/o Peek Brooklyn ♥ Steve Madden booties ♥Have you ever had an "a-ha" outfit post moment that sort of turned out to be an "oh no"?
What do you think of this look?

OMG! I definitely think you were spot-on when choosing this backdrop. It's so fresh and different, and I absolutely love your outfit! You look bright, gorgeous and put-together! The back of the dress, by the way, is downright sexy!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, the place is indeed perfect for the outfit and the season. Love what you are wearing, gorgeous necklace and that dress is amazing. The blazer is pretty cool too!

ReplyDeleteHAHA Cheryl! You are a trooper girl! You know what? You got some great shots!!! So sorry for your boots, but hopefully they will be ok. I LOVE your dress. The back/front is awesome and so is the color! Great jacket and jazzy pizzazzy tights girlfriend. I went to a pumpkin patch a couple of years ago and they had some bees flying around. I must've been allergic, because my eyes puffed up A LOT! Look like i had been in a boxing match. HAHAHAHA

ReplyDeleteThat sucks about the mud. I like the dress backwards!
I think the potential trespassing charge and mud was worth it, it's a gorgeous background and perfect for your outfit.

ReplyDeleteLOL, Cheryl, on the trespassing! You're too naughty:P And OMG on the dress. The back is totes awesome! (That's right....I wrote "totes".)
ReplyDeleteI loved that you wore teal to the orange orchard! Very complementary! Love that you wore the dress backwards too! Just hope no one saw your butt :P with that slit. As for trespassing, I'm sure it was ok. Did you climb a fence? If not, I'm sure it was fine. Not like you were stealing oranges!
