My Spring Music Playlist

Some of the songs on this spring music playlist are actually quite appropriate for the season. The others are just songs that I can't get enough of at the moment, even if they're not very new. So read on, click the links and start dancing in your seat!

Beyonce: Flawless -- Yaaassss! I've been diggin' this song since last December, but I still love it so much that I had to include it for this spring music playlist. Everyone needs a spring refresher to remind them that they are flawless, am I right? Who wants to create a dance to this song with me? No? OK, let's just buy I woke up like this tees and call it a day.

Bastille: Pompeii -- This is one of the songs that I've heard more than a million times on the radio, but I still enjoy hearing it for some reason. Maybe it's because I'd never heard of the band before or the unique sounding vocals. Either way, give it a listen and get it stuck in your head.

30 Seconds to Mars: Up in the Air -- I wanted to include the best 30 Seconds to Mars song for a newbie to get into, and I think this is it because it's just so damn catchy. And the video? Jared Leto needs to start directing all videos for all people all the time already.

Cat Stevens: The Wind -- Probably one of the best songs that's way too short for its greatness. This song always reminds me of Almost Famous and immediately makes me want to sit in a spring meadow blowing bubbles and flying kites as if I hadn't a care in the world.

Pharrell: Happy -- It might seem crazy what I'm about to say, but how did this song not win Best Song at the Oscars? It's just so much fun and Despicable Me 2 was great. Let It Go just isn't as good as this tune. How can you not dance to this?

Beyonce: Drunk In Love -- That's right. She's on this list twice. It actually took me a while to get into this song. I can only blame my love for it on a fun night of pizza and wine in a hotel room in Vegas with a bunch of girls taking selfies. But I digress. It's the chorus that really gets me.

Len: Steal My Sunshine -- OMG, doesn't this song take you back to your childhood? I guess it would depend on your age, but for me, it came out when I was 13 and it was a total hit. And I still like it to this day. Instant good mood maker.

The Byrds: Turn, Turn, Turn -- An oldie, but a goodie. The season has turned from a cold, rainy winter to a sunny, colorful spring and this song just encapsulates that pretty well. Everyone knows this song and everyone loves it.

Today is my mother's birthday so let's wish her a very happy, beautiful birthday!

  1. Love Bastille...super live!! Have been listening to them for a while now. 30 Seconds to Mars are awesome, have listened to them for years now, very nice guys. Len...haven't heard that in years, haha. My younger sister loved that song to death. Happy is a great song, enjoy that one. Not a Beyonce fan at all really, she tends to get on my nerves within seconds...I watched a few seconds of Drunk in Love & just said no! I preferred her years ago. This is an awesome play list though :))) Have a great day doll xx

  2. I like your selections! I adore Pharrell, he's come so far, and such a positive influence as well. You have to be mental to not move to that song, "Happy," I mean, my nan even sings it, haha. :)
