Share a Coke and a Song This Summer Solstice

Is it me or does it finally feel like summer has arrived? In just a couple more weeks, it will be the official first day of summer and the longest day of the year: the Summer Solstice. And there's no better way to get yourself prepped and ready to celebrate summer than spending time outside with your friends and family!

We all love summertime and view it as a time to sleep all day, stay up late and enjoy the outdoors. And I always find that music lyrics bring out the best summer memories! That's why I love the new "Share a Coke and a Song" campaign by Coca-Cola™ that incorporates memorable lyrics on the bottles and cans.

And now you can join in on the fun with the "Share a Coke and a Song" sweepstakes. See below!

Enter to win the Share a Coke Sweepstakes at for a chance to win tickets to the American Music Awards® and more.

1. Snap a selfie with your favorite lyrics on a Share a Coke® bottle or can*
2. Upload your selfie to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #ShareaCokeSweepstakes
3. Enter up to 12 times to increase your chances of winning a trip for 2 to the 2016 American Music Awards®, along with hundreds of other great prizes! Including: wireless headphones, wireless speakers, a 1 year Premium Music App Membership or a $50 Music Gift Card.
Some of the lyrics include summertime favorites like:
"Take Me Out to the Ballgame"
"It's Getting Hot in Herre"
"Somethin' 'Bout the Summertime"
"Summer, Summer, Summertime"

Music is wonderful in the summer. It's that feeling you get when a particular lyric transports you to a different time in your life. If I want to be immediately taken back to elementary school days, then all I have to do is hear lyrics to "This Is How We Do It" -- and nothing is more reminiscent of my 8th grade dance than "Graduation (Friends Forever)" don't you agree!
One of my absolute favorite songs for the summer is "Summer Girls". I know you know what I'm talking about! The group might have been a one-hit wonder, and the lyrics might not be the smartest, but the song just makes you wish for summer.

"You love fun dip and cherry coke.
I like the way you laugh when I tell a joke.
When I met you, I said my name was Rich.
You look like a girl from Abercrombie and Fitch."
Here are a few ways you can enjoy the Summer Solstice on June 20 with the help of Coca-Cola:
  • "Celebrate Good Times, Come On!" -- Enjoy a beach side bonfire
  • "We'll Dance to Our Own Beat." -- Take your friends to a silent disco
  • "Work Hard, Play Hard." -- Try a pick-up game of ultimate Frisbee
  • "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" -- Get out and do some rock climbing
  • "I'm Proud to Be an American" -- Watch a fireworks show
  • "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" -- Host a slumber party with friends
  • "We Could Be Stars" -- Go star-gazing at night
  • "We're Picture Perfect" -- Go to a carnival and have fun at the photo booth
  • "I'm on Top of the World" -- Finally go bungee jumping or zip lining
I got my Coca-Cola bottles from Safeway, and I love shopping there for all my needs. You can also download the Shazam App, which is available on Android, iPad, iPhone and the iPod Touch to get your Coca-Cola Share a Song! And don't forget to enter to win the Share a Coke Sweepstakes at!
