When you see the phrase Pantone 15-0343 it probably doesn't mean anything to you at all. And, quite frankly, it doesn't mean much to me either. I wouldn't have guessed that the 2017 Pantone color of the year was going to be Greenery, but the more I learn about it, the more I like it! But let me first remind you of the most recent Pantone colors that I've liked.
Do you remember the Pantone colors of years past? Last year we were blessed with not one, but two Pantone colors: Rose Quartz & Serenity. Those colors were definitely my two favorites. And the year before that, we were introduced to Marsala. I remember seeing Marsala everything, everywhere! It's still a shade that holds up over time. Do you remember Radiant Orchid from 2014? It was a bold statement maker, which is pretty similar to this year's color. Even though 2013's Emerald was probably my least favorite Pantone color in recent years, it still had its place in fashion.

The color Greenery symbolizes new beginnings with its refreshing and revitalizing shade. The yellow-green shade is considered to be nature's neutral. And although you might connect it with the first blooms of spring, it's really quite appropriate for the first blooms of life, which many equate to the start of the new year. It's all about the "pursuit of personal passions and vitality" so you really can't be anything but optimistic when you see (or wear) this green shade.
Here are some Greenery pieces that I think you should consider adding to your wardrobe in 2017 to get a little greener with the scenery (this is a song reference, btw). My favorites here are the Terror clutch and the acetate wood sunglasses, of course. But you really can't go wrong rocking any of these items in 2017, whether or not you follow the Pantone trends.
// Terror clutch | $42 // Cable Stitch scarf | $62 // Crossover tank | $39 // Origins Cleansing mask | $31.50 // Shwood Prescott acetate sunglasses | $109 // China Glaze polish | $5 // Forever 21 Aloe gel | $9 // Alexis patterned mini dress | $130 // Fendi leather watch strap | $75 // Bernardo Matrix sandal | $134.95 // Pom beanie | $22 //
