If you see me in metallics, it must be the holidays! Although I totally love the metallic bodre finish of this dress, my main reason for getting it was the open back design, which I felt added a little edge to this holiday look. And I put this look to good use this season by also wearing it to my friend's wedding this past weekend in Miami. Hope you caught some of it on my Instastory -- Tron-esque robots on stilts were involved. Ah-mazing!
I had planned on wearing just the dress without any layers because even though it's December, December in Florida usually means highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. But, of course, this past Saturday the temps dropped to highs in the 60s, so I had to layer this look with a formal coat, and add a pair of ankle socks to my heels.
This is just one reason why I left Florida in the first place -- so unpredictable.
You might have seen some Art Basel adventures on my Instastory if you follow me on Instagram. It was nice to be in Miami for a few days, but after traveling there, to Atlanta, Boston, Ireland and Scotland in the past month, I'm happy to say that I don't plan on traveling anywhere outside of the Bay Area for the rest of the year.
2018 is another story...
P.s. -- shout out to Rachelle for the photo shoot location recommendation.

I love the open detail at the back, it's shiny without being too much. I like it and your socks too :) x
