Fashion Beauty Friend Friday

shoes-1This is my second Fashion Beauty Friend Friday post hosted by Modly Chic. The theme for this Friday is one that is near and dear to my heart so I am very happy to write this post and to share it with you!

shoes-2Shoes! Oh my god, shoes!

*note: these aren't all my shoes. I was just being lazy!

1.What is your go-to pair of shoes?

Honestly my go-to shoes are a pair of ballet flats that actually aren't even pictured here. I usually just slide into either my lace flats from Charlotte Russe or my Simply Vera Vera Wang flats.

2. What goes into your shoe buying decisions?

I always look for shoes that are going to be comfortable because I don't like to be one of those girls who wear any kind of shoe no matter how painful. But, I do admit that I have comfort levels. Some shoes that I buy might not be the most comfortable (aka, not good for dancing or long walks down hills), but they should at least be OK for standing for a bit. I also try to get different styles like flats, wedges, pumps and booties. Now I'm looking into getting more colorful with my shoe buying choices.

shoes-33. The majority of the shoes in your closet are what color?

As you can see they are black because black goes with anything always! But like I mentioned above, I am really trying to branch out with my colors and get more blues and reds and the like.

4. When it comes to designer shoes what are your favorite brands and why?

If I could afford them then I would go with Christian Louboutins, of course. I love shopping at TJ Maxx and Ross for designer shoes: I got my Dolce Vita, Paris Hilton's and BCBGs from there. I got the Vera Wangs from Kohls and the Christian Sirianos from Payless.

5. If price wasn’t an issue, you’d own which shoe?

Probably these Lanvin chain embellished suede pumps that were originally priced for about $1,200 and are now around $500.

What is your favorite shoe?

Full Time Fabulous - May 6 Blog Event

The FTF theme for May is Spring so feel free to Spring into my fashion with these photos!

ftf-spring5I've been wanting to get more floral with my attire for quite a while now so I was happy that this spring theme pretty much forced me to go shopping exclusively for floral patterns. The top is a steal of a deal - a Steve Madden floral top from Ross! I had to incorporate comfy shorts and a floral hat because those things remind me of spring.

Also, the wedges are pretty much the exact shoes I've been looking for the entire month of April. Floral wedges = score! These are either from Ross or TJ Maxx. I mentioned these Cloisonne bangles from ShopNBC back in an inspiring style post last month.

So the Full Time Fabulous blog event just so happened to be the same day as the Fashion Beauty Friend Friday. I really wanted to participate in both so that's why you are getting this double post!

What do you think of my spring look?
