Lookbook: Cobalt and Coral
You might remember me complaining in my lookbook: fashion in the valley post about my camera and the pictures. Thanks to everyone who gave me some advice as to what I could do to take better photos--I'm still working on that. To help my overall skills, I also got the nifty fifty prime lens, which has done wonders when it comes to taking crisper photos with background blur. See for yourself!
My hubby and I are still working on our photography skills, but I think we're starting to get the hang of it. Getting this lens was one of the best decisions we've made.
This is what I wore to do some shopping at Crate & Barrel, H&M and then to dinner at Tea Light Cafe. I'm wearing this coral jersey dress from H&M that I talked about in this inspiring style post. First I just wore the dress by itself, but thought it was a bit too sheer so I added the leggings and the blue belt. The cobalt blue booties added the finishing touch to this look. As soon as I saw them at Charlotte Russe, I just had to have them!
This photo isn't great, but it's a picture of my Sally Hansen Salon Effects nails in lace. I mentioned these in this makeup and muses post. I finally got around to wearing them, and I must say, the process is pretty easy. Polish never lasts that long with me so these were only on my fingers for about three days before they started to chip, but they are worth it.
