The Catherine by Catherine Malandrino diffusion line was launched at WWDMAGIC in February 2013. It features all the great textures that you get from the main label but with a more affordable price tag, as I'm sure you all know. Her trademark look is no longer just reserved for the runways, but also for both the fashionistas and recessionistas of the world, which is why I enjoy this designer. For instance, I got this shift dress for under $100!
And let's not forget the shoes! I'm sure you've seen this style of bootie bootie bootie bootie rockin' everywhere, and how could you not. These Chinese Laundry shoes are a great dupe of the Schutz slates and are a lace-up dream (and they come in brown too). You can find a lot of stunning shoe options by this brand--from boots, to flats, to wedges--and that's one of the reasons why I like Chinese Laundry as much as I do.
Now there are so many options under the Chinese Laundry label to choose from as well like Dirty Laundry, which is full of street-style boot styles, and CL by Laundry, for a more affordable, trendy look.
Designs by both Catherine Malandrino and Chinese Laundry will be at WWDMAGIC in Las Vegas February 18-20 and I want to see both of them! That would be a great birthday trip for this Pisces. It's amazing how well Parisian inspiration goes with quality at a competitive price! The list of designers for this event is intensely awesome. So much style, so little time.
Happy 2014! Did you have a great NYE? What do you think of my New Year's Eve party look?
