Put a Cork in It

Here is another example of me thinking I had already worn something on the blog but apparently I hadn't. This is very similar to this You're My Only Hope look from January. Checking my email, I actually bought these striped overalls back in August of 2015. Of course, I've worn them IRL, which always makes me think that I must've worn them on the Muse. But alas, now you all get to see me in short overalls -- so it's like I'm taking you guys back to my middle school years where I wore overalls probably twice a week. I was super stylish back then, obviously, lol.

Also wanted to talk about these shoes I got at Target the other day. It's never really my intention to buy clothes at Target. I usually go there for groceries and decor items. But I had some time on my hands so I stopped by the clothing section and found these cute cork heel sandals. Have you all noticed a change at your local Target? It seems like they're trying to revamp the overall look of the store and the items in it. These shoes are actually a size 7, so they're a little big, but I really wanted them in denim blue. They had my size in black, but you know -- the things you do for fashion.

Have you ever bought a clothing item that wasn't quite your size because you just had to have it?

Over the weekend, we saw War for the Planet of the Apes after attending the Japantown Artwalk by our house. The movie was pretty good -- I really liked the CGI and the Bad Ape character. And the art walk was pretty standard except for one artist who made artwork by drawing portraits on top of his hand, so all of his work had hand prints on them. It's hard to explain but it was very creative. Then on Sunday we attended the Urban Air Market in Oakland with some friends. It's a pop-up marketplace featuring local artisans, delicious food and live music. Later this year, the market will be in Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Brooklyn, Atlanta and Austin -- basically, all the coolest cities.

How did you muses spend your weekend? Did you catch the premier of Game of Thrones?

I have 2 denim overalls and they haven't made it on the blog yet but I wear them all the time. Your target sandals are too cute, I used to get clothes at Target all the time but now I only shop there if that's the only place I know i can get something so not so much anymore. The first episode of GOT was everything.

That overall is so cute! I love its pinstripe style! And yes I definitely have bought something because I just had to have it and figured it was 'so close' to my size that its okay to buy haha. Some worked out and some have not.

It is a cute over all. I like the stripes on them. I watched the movie as well and liked it a lot. The message was quite hard hitting in today's world and scenario.

These overalls are just too cute, Cheryl! And I actually really like Target clothes and shoes:D When we had Target here, I had to control myself to buy all the things there!

PS Loved the season premiere. I thought that first scene was kick-a$$, and the scenes with Cersei and Euron, and the Hound looking into the fire...just wish it was longer.

Those sandals are super cute! I never have luck with Target shoes, the sizing is always a bit off for me, but perhaps that is for the best, so I wont leave with shoes when I go in for face wash!

Love your corky sandals and OH YES I have fallen for that item that is either too big or even TOO SMALL ! but because i loved it or it was on sale... I took it home with me.

I sometimes end up shopping the clothing at Target because I have to pass by the ladieswear section to get to the groceries. They have more cute things than I expect. Those sandals look fantastic! It's no wonder you were ok with getting a slightly larger size because you feel in love with the style/color.

Seriously - how cute are you? YES! I have bought my share of crap that doesn't fit because I just had to have it. I've done that with shoes and learned my lesson. NEVER AGAIN. #ouch
