Blogger Turned Designer: Interviewing Tuesdai Noelle

My long-time fashion blogger friend Tuesdai Noelle recently launched Designs by Tuesdai, which includes clothing and a new purse collection called Messi Floor.

She has a purse sample at the Loveys Accessories Boutique, which is owned by Tionna Smalls (who you might know from What Chili Wants).

This accessories designer is well on her way to securing her dream. Check out the interview and learn more about Tuesdai, her reflections and her designs!

Oh to Be a Muse: What are you trying to accomplish with Designs by Tuesdai?
Tuesdai Noelle: I want to bring a new style into the fashion industry. Sometimes I'll hear a woman in her 50s, or so, say
something to her friend like, 'Do you remember when we used to wear this or that?' Or I'll hear my mom say, 'Honey, that ain't nothing new--we used to wear that when I was a teenager.' My goal in today's fashion is to present something that people will look at and say, 'Wow! Now that's something I've never seen before.'

Muse: What inspired you to form Messi Floor, and how did you get the idea to decorate the bags the way you do?
TN: I'm a collage artist so it's just in my nature to put things together and create an artistic piece. I was working on a collage when I had the idea to design purses--using them as a canvas or "floor" and then designing a display of different, unusual and unique items into somewhat of a creative "mess" and calling it the Messi Floor Collection.

Muse: Some people might remember that you used to have a blog called Reflections By Tuesdai. How is Tuesdai Noelle reflected in your designs?
TN: Those who remember my Reflections by Tuesdai blog will recall that it was a form of expressing what creative thought that was going on in my mind at that moment. So when I design a Messi Floor handbag, I like to say it's more than a handbag...it's an expression.

I just flow with the moment when I'm designing something. If it feels right and it says "Tuesdai" then that's what I go for.
