Lookbook: Filthy & Free at Lands End

This past Saturday was an adventure. The plan was to go to Sausalito for some pictures and food, but as we were driving, we realized we didn't want to drive all the way up there. So instead, we randomly ended up at Lands End Trail just outside of Golden Gate National Park in San Francisco.

The trail was a unique find because we had no idea where we were going other than "westward toward the water," and we managed to locate this trail of wilderness. And at the end of the trail were the Sutro Baths Ruins, which used to be a privately owned swimming complex in the 1800s until it burned down and was abandoned in 1966.Wearing
Free People Starlight Party Dress (worn as top) Filthy Magic asymmetrical mini skirt ♥F21 Gladiator sandals ♥Aldo Teem shoulder bag ♥Michael Kors sunnies ♥Target floral necklaceBy the way, it was windy and freezing in San Francisco. I'm talking 55 degrees in the middle of July...what's that about? The hubs and I were seriously cold and even getting depressed. The clouds covered the sun and it was muggy. We were so ready to go home. But as we drove south, the temperature climbed to 70 degrees, the sun came out, and we realized that we had been cured of our depression. So much so that we went downtown and ate some good Greek food. Honestly, I don't know how people live in the mugginess of similar places like Seattle. Warm weather is my friend.

  7. Great look! Love the dress. I remember visiting San Francisco in August last year and it never got past 60 degrees! It was sooo cold! I don't know how people lived there...lol. I guess they got use to it.

  9. Lovely! I adore the dress as a top, and the flowiness of the skirt (horray pockets!!). I also really like the shoes with it, even though it's not something I would think about putting together.

  10. These shots are really stunning, and you look gorgeous! I personally hate warm weather (I know, I'm super weird) so I think I would be pretty happy in San Francisco.

  13. I used to live in Seattle, which is similar to London in some ways. But, SF is great because of the wind from the Bay! It will likely be warmer in October, haha! You look so pretty, and love that handbag! Happy Monday! -xo

  15. This looks like ane ditorial. I love it. Also, I love how you randomly ended up at this local. So cute. ALSO, I have never been a fan of San Fran because it is SO COLD, like, all the time! What's up with that?My grandad lives just south of there in San Jose and the weather is marvelous. But San Fran, lord -- that bay gives them the short end of the stick.

  27. OMG, you look so pretty and i love that skirt with the sandals and the top. I know what you mean about the weather, that's how it is a lot in july in SF always cold and foggy in the city. But if you go 20 minutes outside the city, it's much nicer.

    You look so pretty

  40. I found the top really cute and it goes well with your hi-low skirt. Great look! I was never a depressive person but after my first year here in Germany with cold seasons that´s too long, I was hit by depression for the first time especially during the winter. I was happy it´s already summer but the warm weather only lasted for like a week and now we´re back to cold, gloomy skies and nasty rainy season again. Warm weather is my friend too.

  43. Lovely outfit! I don't know how lovely it is for hiking, but lovely none-the-less!

I like the skirt with that blouse because they both have a delicate-ish vibe.

I don't like SF weather either! It's way too cold and unpredictable for me. I did learn to dress for it though and couldn't figure out how to dress when I went to San Jose for the summer!
