This was from a busy Saturday a couple weeks ago. I went to a baby shower and decided to dress up a bit, of course. The day before, I was wearing my ruffle lapel vest and a random lady complimented me. Then on this day, I received compliments about this look from three different people. Too bad I don't always remember to give them my card. Are you good about sharing your blog card? What attracted me so much to this top (which was sold as a dress, but is clearly way too short for that) was the cool geometric design on the back because it's so different from the solid orange on the front.Wearing:
♥Retro geometric print top from eBay ♥Foreign Exchange shorts (last seen in Color Me Spring) ♥Badgley Mischka lanah sandals from DSW (bought for 1/3 of the original price) ♥La Mer wrap watch ♥Juicy Couture bagAfter the baby shower we went up to Oakland for dinner and drinks with some friends at Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill. The restaurant is on Lake Merritt so there were so many great views and even gondola rides! But as you can see, I am wearing shorts and the weather was too cold for a gondola ride in the evening.
What do you think of this look?
♥
It's gorgeous! Not sure who could wear this as a dress, my backside would not be covered, haha. But, like this it's very pretty...you look super!! Happy Monday x
ReplyDeleteI definitely have to get on to make a card for my blog soon, going to do it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I love your hair. The colour of the top suits you really well, and I love the shoes!

Pretty outfit, I love your hair! - Lola x
ReplyDeleteI'm not at all surprised that you're getting random compliments from strangers - you look great! And I am actually pretty bad at remembering to hand out blog cards (I actually need to get more printed soon...so thanks for the reminder).

Very pretty! I love your hair too! I love mixing pink in with Black & White print, it makes pink a little more edgy!
ReplyDeleteWow...the geometric back does make the top very unique. Good choice, Cheryl:) And I never remember to give out my blog cards....NEVER! :(
ReplyDeleteCheryl, that's a great outfit. I can see why you received so many compliments. Blog business cards are important. I had some done when I had sassyuptownchic, but haven't done any for this blog yet. Was seeing how it would fare out and where it would go. It's definitely a good thing to keep them handy. Glad you had a great time. Have an amazing week!

How adorable are you!! I love the shape of the shirt!! I cant believe it was sold as a dress...for whom!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you were getting so many compliments this is a beautiful outfit the prints and the bright colors balance each other out perfectly. Good job and I am so bad about carrying my blog cards.
ReplyDeleteI LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that top/dress. The graphic print is so unexpected yet fun with the orange/coral. No, I don't give out blog cards but then again, I'm not fashion blogger so I don't really "wear" my blog. Hehe. Unless J counts. But then lots of moms carry their babies and don't write blogs. Though I might carry a card if I'm taking pics of ppl and want them to know I'm legit, not a baby stalker.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous look, darling!
ReplyDeleteI try to share my blog card as much as possible!

In love with the pink and black of course. I love this dress. I definitely wasnt expecting the funky print on the back. It spices up your look. I don't have any cards, never thought those would work with mine, I'm no professional.

I am the worst about giving out my blog cards...I need to remember to carry them more often. I love bright colors on you! This coral especially.
