Insta Lately: January 2016

Every couple of months I like to share a little Instagram round-up in case there are a few muses here who don't follow me on IG. So I'm just showcasing a few of the things that don't make it to the blog. Would love for you to follow along on Instagram (@ohtobeamuse) and feel free to leave your handle in the comments, too. Now I want to eat a macaroon -- you'll see why below.

Big thanks to Mary Evelyn from Leave That to ME for her amazing watercolor design of me. I'll never get tired of an opportunity for a fab fashion illustration.
// A Few of My Favorite Things //
Finding the joy of Pantone's rose quartz and serenity in life with these tulips and hydrangeas. Oh, and these fun Aldo shoes that I really need to wear more once the temps go up.
Sharing my soft minimalism obsession on Insta means trying to put together an image that looks pretty while not losing the light. My faux sheepskin is quite possibly the best purchase ever. I use it all the time, even here when I used thumbtacks to hold it against the wall.
I know you read recently that I'm into adult coloring books, but I thought you'd like to see something I actually colored. I shared a few on my Snapchat (ohtobeamuse) too. Now, if I could only get the hubs to join in on the fun.
A few pieces (House of Harlow & Trina Turk) I got from Rocksbox recently. Use my code cherylbff59 to try your first month free. It's totally worth it! I wear what I like and keep what I love.
// Pop of Color //
The hubs bought these mango popsicle when he started getting a sore throat. So when I felt one coming on, I took a mango pop for myself...and it was delicious! But I do love all things mango.
Back when I traveled to Southern California (it's great that it's only a one hour flight), there were so many great things to photograph. And the Bay Area actually doesn't have a lot of palm trees so it's nice to see these sunny staples.
Happy to say that I'm back to reading. It must be something about the winter (being cozy and comfy) that just makes you become a bookworm. Hope to keep this going well into the spring.
This was from a blogger event at Sur La Table. They gave a little demonstration on how to put together your own macarons. And yes, these are called macarons, not macaroons. Those are totally different (and I actually like those better, but they don't photograph as well).
And if you never want to miss one of my Instagram posts, then go to my IG profile page and click on the three dots on the top right. Then hit "Turn on Post Notifications" to keep up to date!
