Millennial Pink

I've become a big fan of sitting in my photos. Maybe I'm lazy. Maybe I'm just comfortable. Maybe I realized that when I don't wear heels, I tend to look really short (side note: I'm totally short). Since I'm wearing sneakers here, it made sense to just be sitting pretty.

This cape blazer comes in ivory, navy and black, but I opted for the millennial pink color when I bought this back in July. I didn't even know millennial pink was a thing. But, fortunately, I'm still into this girly blush tone, and luckily, had the perfect pair of sneaks to go with it. I can't believe I've actually had this cut-out cami for about a year yet this is my first time wearing it on the blog.

When all these things get lost in the back of your closet, then you know it's time to do a closet clean out, right? Good thing the holidays are coming up so I can pack some items into a few bags for Goodwill. What do you guys do with your closet clean out clothes? I'm looking for other options, but I don't want to sell them online. Too much work.

I'm spending the week and weekend in Ireland and Scotland. So be sure to follow me on Instagram so you can keep up with my adventures via my Instastory. I've been to Ireland before, but this will be my first time in Scotland. If you've been to either, let me know your recommendations in the comments!

  1. I've been loving seating in my pics too. Ireland and Scotland sound amazing, have the best time. I sent a lot of my gently use clothes to Haiti, I also put a few on eBay if I have the time.

  4. Haha, I didn't know millennial pink was a think either until this summer. I've always called it blush. Anyways, I'm glad you chose your cape is this color. It is so cute! I will def be following along on your trip!

  5. I like that pink is 'in' again with just another new name, haha. It's such a cute piece regardless. For my last closet clean out, I sent one box to swap.com and another to ThredUP. I'm not sure if I'll get much, but it's so much more satisfying to just get things out of the house than take the time to list them on ebay or poshmark and then have to deal with them hanging around for weeks or even months when you just want them out!

  6. That cape blazer is such a fabulous styling piece! And it looks amazing in millennial pink! Depending on the condition of the clothes, I either see or donate them to the Salvation Army or Goodwill.

  7. I absolutely love that cape and am so jealous you'll be in Scotland (it's my favourite place in the world!). If you're in Edinbugh I'd recommend walking the Royal Mile and hitting up Holyroodhouse and Edinburgh Castle if you have time, as well as just giving yourself time to wander a bit in the New Town part of the city and to see the Princes Street gardens. There is really just an insane amount to see and do there. A visit to John Knox House is also really fun.

  9. I am so loving this embroidered cape, Cheryl:) I don't have anything like this in my wardrobe...time to change that soon! And have fun in Ireland and Scotland. Hey...can you put me in your luggage? Hehe

PS King Steve is the best! So glad they made his character like that, although now I'm kinda sad that Nancy and Jonathan hooked up. And that guy Billy...what a douche, although it makes sense now when they showed his dad.

  11. I LOVE your outfit and you look absolutely adorable wearing it! I love girly shades of pink. The millennial pink colour of your Sarah cape from Boohoo with its embroidered roses is very pretty . I love how it looks styled with your contrasting Barcelona camisole, blue jeans and pink sneakers!

  13. I love the pink jacket on You. Selling clothes online is a chore. I sell a few on Poshmark, and it's not greatest. Most of my clothes are taken to Jamaica on various trips by relatives. Enjoy your European vacay. . .

  19. I absolutely LOVE Millenial Pink! It's so flattering, especially on our skin tone. My whole wardrobe used to be black, now it's pale pink. LOL!

I give a lot of my unwanted clothing to my sisters. What they don't take, I sell using this awesome consignment shop where I live. It's highly curated and you get an awesome return.

Whatever doesn't sell, I donate to a church and mosque in my area....

  20. I am so in love with those sneakers ! and in my case, when I do a closet clean out it's either going to the consignment shop or being donated.
    Have a super holiday !
