Combinations to Try: The Blazer Romper

We all say that we can't wait for the weather to get nice so that we can spend more time outside. This weekend, I actually practiced what I preached by truly enjoying the long spot of great weather that we've had here in the Bay Area lately. I'm talking a high of 75, low of 51 with no rain in sight. So we continued the hubs' birthday celebration by playing a fun game of archery tag with some friends. What is archery tag, you ask? Well, it's a combination of archery and dodge ball that's played outside at a park. Instead of shooting at a bulls-eye, you're shooting your arrow at the opposing team in order to eliminate them from the game. But like dodge ball, all the arrows are in the center of the playing field, so teams must run toward each other to gather their arrows and then run back behind the safety of barriers. Then, of course, you try to hit members of the other team -- bow and arrow style -- without getting hit yourself. This game incorporates face gear and non-lethal arrows so it's all in good fun, especially if none of your friends are assholes. :)

To the look: is it a blazer? Is it a romper? Let's go with a bit of both. You get the classic blazer details -- the suit jacket cut -- with a mix of the one-piece leisure look of a romper (aka: the adult onesie). The romper gives you the fun spring vibe while the blazer adds some edge. Style tip: if you want to try this look out in the fall, switch out the booties for a pair of knee-high boots.
