Lingerie Please: Finding the Right Bra for You

♥ Enter My Boy Meets Girl Giveaway!

If Oprah had to have an intervention and a revolution about it, then that must tell you that the fit of your bra must be a big deal. According to Oprah's website, 8 out of 10 women are wearing the wrong size bra--and that just sounds embarrassing.

I know I don't usually talk undergarments on the Muse, but since summer is here, I figured it would be a good time to discuss not only swimwear, but underwear too.
brasI think good bras are determined by two things: the fit and the look. Knowing which bra style is best for your bust will make you look 10 times better no matter what you're wearing over your lingerie. Every woman should have a strapless, a plunge and a T-shirt bra.

Recently, I received the Gossard Cosmetic superboost plunge bra from Lingerie Please and one of the best things about the bra, aside from the plunge look, is the great fit. I don't feel anything stabbing me or see any pronounced bra lines, which is reason enough to find these comfortable.

If you're still not certain how to pick the right piece for your body, then take a look at the Tried and Tested Lingerie and Bra Bible sections on the site. It's a great way to pick the right fit no matter your size, and even shows you how to turn an everyday bra into a multi-way dream.

  4. I always find it difficult to find bras - I'm a larger size and it's damn near impossible to find something that offers support and no visible lines...and something strapless is virtually out of the question!

  15. So glad you posted this. I've started out as a bra specialist at Victoria's Secret and everyone needs to be educated on the right bra style and size for her and what kind to wear for the right occasion.

  20. Nothing poking!!! That is a sign of a good bra :)

Oh I need a new strapless bra in my life...I actually usually get minimizers...I'm 5 feet and have an ample bust of 34d, so they kind of look larger than my frame, I'm going to check out what they have for me!

    Thanks Cheryl!!!

  21. It's so important to have the right-fitting bra! I get fittings regularly to make sure I'm wearing the right size and shape because I fluctuate often (weird, right?)

  26. I have the most difficult time finding the perfect bra, sometimes, because my boobs are tiny. I always get the bras that pooch at the sides becuase I don't fill them up completely. Sad day. Thank God for Victoria's Secret. Now, I have over 20 bras.

  29. It's amazing to me how something as simple as a bra can change a woman's posture and the her clothes fit. Proves the importance in the details.
