Just because I'm no longer in New York doesn't mean the fashion has to end. Back in the bay, I recently attended two very lovely events that gave me more reasons to dress up.
A couple weeks ago was the Sassy City Chicks Fashion Bash in San Francisco. The event is a shopping showcase featuring about 50 designers and brands at sample sale prices and is actually held in eight different cities. Free spa lounge services, discounted drinks and swag bags were other perks of the event.
The Fashion Bash in San Fran was co-hosted by the Digitally Chic girls, in which I was a part of their blogger trending lounge. So I spent the night perusing clothing, jewelry and Kitson bags while also tweeting and instagram-ing my little fingers off about Stella & Dot, Isha Couture and more!~~~
And just a few days ago I found myself at the Bay Area Fashion Week Meet & Greet event. This included a spot and flash fashion show by The Usuals and Lotus Premium Denim, who you might remember from my Art With Style post back in July.I took a few photos with Elaine Reyes, the director of PR and marketing, for Lotus Premium Denim. She's such fun, and I was happy to find out that we live near each other so I can't wait to hang out more. All of the LPD jeans have a cute lotus logo on the back right pocket, and they come in both a lighter and a darker wash. As I was watching the models on the runway, I noticed that the different cuts on the jeans fit really well on girls with various shapes. The denim was by LPD and the tops were by The Usuals, and I must say, I really enjoyed the flowy tops that partnered beautifully with the denim. There were some issues with the logistics of the fashion show (temperature, lighting, timing, etc), but the fashion itself was definitely on point. Do people still say on point?
Have you been to any great fashion/blogger events lately?
♥
That looks like a wonderful event...lots of fun. I would have tried the spa at least once ;) Love the tops on the girls on the runway :) x

LOLZ....I still say "on point":) And those jeans do look great, eh? TY for sharing, Cheryl!
ReplyDeleteYou get to attend all of the coolest events. I think I should come live with you for a while so I can crash them.
ReplyDeleteI definitely saw that horrible call on Monday Night Football. While the replacement refs are certainly an issue, I think that call would have been controversial regardless of the caliber of referees in the game. However, the replacement refs made it worse by both signaling different calls after the play. It was hilarious to see one calling an interception and one calling a touchdown. Not sure if that would have happened with the pros.

Looks like this show was a lot of fun. Look at those racks of close and jewelry. Those tops really take the denim up a notch, very feminine.
