Chandon + Bottle Rock

Happy Memorial Day! Last week I told you guys that I was really going to get the ball rolling on my diet and exercise plan. Well, despite attending a sparkling wine event and a music festival, I was still able to pretty much stick to my regimen. I even lost a few pounds!

So like I mentioned, I was invited to attend the American Summer Fête event at Domaine Chandon -- a Napa Valley winery. Did you catch it on my Instastory? Be sure to check out the photos and videos before the 24 hours are up! It was so nice to be invited to this beautiful summer kick-off party over the long, holiday weekend. The summer fête included brunch bites from local Napa Valley vendors, and pours of Chandon Brut Classic, Chandon Rosé, Chandon Ultra Premium Sparkling Wine and the Chandon Sweet Star Cocktail.

The photo worthy event also included games and music. And did I mention that the lovely people at Chandon provided car service as well? The hubs and I were picked up from our house and driven to the Chandon event before being whisked away to spend the rest of our Sunday attending Bottle Rock. Bottle Rock Napa Valley is a festival all about music, food and drinks. Some of the entertainers this year included Maroon 5, Foo Fighters, The Roots, Tom Petty, Macklemore, Fitz & The Tantrums, and more. Our complimentary tickets to the festival allowed us to see the Sunday showing, which also included Charles Bradley -- remember him from this post?

Now, this lovely look on the blog is not what I wore to the Chandon event or to Bottle Rock. But I do like what I did with the skirt, which is actually a pinafore dress. The crochet straps were a bit big so I decided to just wear the dress as a skirt and pair it with this embroidered mesh crop top. I think it turned out pretty great, but for Sunday, I wanted to wear something that would work for both the Chandon event and the Bottle Rock music festival. If you're curious to see what I wore -- check out my Instagram!
